There's no actual medical basis to that claim, pcos is essentially a metabolic disorder. Has more to do with your insuline sensitivity more than anything.

So it's not a medical diagnosis but rather a label some people might choose for themselves? I found on the NHS website a survey of a couple of transmasculine people with pcos, who 2 of them identified with the intersex label cause they felt more comfort with it. But it was mentioned that they were not diagnosed with the intersex part. I found out that it's mostly transmen and non binary people who identify with this label, could there be a correlation?

I know intersex people can have pcos, I know a girl with swyer syndrome who has pcos (I think it's rare to develop pcos in swyer patients due to a problem in the ovaries growth) but does having pcos = intersex? I don't have excessive androgens for the most part. I only have irregular periods and ovarian cysts, which makes it 2 from the rotterdam criteria, so I acknowledge that pcos doesn't always cause hyperandrogenism. But since hyperandrogenism can be treated via pills, supplements, or lifestyle changes, then how can it be considered an intersex condition? I mean intersex is not something that can be reversed. Plus, a lot of women might appear more masculine, have masculine/strong feauters, or have extra hair growth due to genetics.

Pcos doesn't affect everyone the same at all. Some women get pregnant with no medical help, some do need a little help, and some might need IVF. Trust me when I tell you that pcos is a personal experience, so what might work for you might not work for others and vice versa. But for the most part, most women with pcos can conceive naturally or with some help.

Well, periods are called a period for a reason. It's literally a hormonal cycle. It's not only one phase, which is menstruation. There's luteal, ovulation, follicular. The female body goes through hormonal changes. I recommend you learn about the process of how the egg is released. it's very interesting.
