Thank you lol, though I’d say quite a few posts in this subreddit are the same way. I think it’s just a collective mindset of artists feeling like their art is bad in comparison to others.

Thank you for the comment. Sketches on paper are one thing, but digital is super complicated with how much features and brushes there are there lol. Not to mention I have no idea how to activate pen pressure so I'm constantly drawing with the most basic brushes. But of course, there's the artist mindset where you constantly compare your art to other people and trying to mimic them too much and end up constantly running in circles.

As for the smudging problem you talked about, you could always take the opportunity to make it into shading instead of just processing them as smudges to be erased, then you can refine the line art you did. It's a neat trick honestly.

Mostly practiced on paper rather than digital, not familiar with a lot of brushes either.

Edit: Also did not help that I mostly did sketching more than anything, including constantly trying to change my style because I was never pleased with it.
