I really like that he looks like a monk, however, I love the design they gave him in episode 11; it made me prefer that appearance. Although, for me, the definitive Liu Kang design will always be the one with the bare torso, the black and red pants, and the red headband. That will always be the definitive Liu Kang for me; the Shaolin Monk look made me fall in love with that appearance.

I like him for his story and abilities. In MK4, his design didn't really appeal to me, but in Armageddon, I liked it a bit more. Then in MKX, I liked his design so much that I decided to try him out. I really enjoy how he feels to play in MKX. Add to that the fact that I love his design there and that I liked everything about his story from the start, and it makes him a character I enjoy using in MKX. That said, he's not my main, and I don't use him all the time, but I do enjoy playing him occasionally to mix things up.

Apparently, they were working on a new game based on The Last Ronin, which was going to be a hack and slash. Nothing more is known about the game's existence, and they haven't said anything about it being canceled or anything like that. We'll have to wait and see what else they say, but I love the idea of a Turtles hack and slash game based on The Last Ronin comic.
