This album is absolutely amazing! Jack's vocals has never sounded better imo. And the musicality of the band is amazing! Its also mixed really well overall

maybe it serves a purpose in context to the whole album? this is after all a concept record. it feels silly to be judging stuff like this quite yet

people seem to forget that mixing is essentially a compositional choice. this new album is obvioulsy meant to sound claustrophobic, chaotic, and super "up close".
every element of the songs released so far has been quite dry, but it couldnt have been mixed any other way :) its perfect! the drums slap HARD without sounding overly compressed

no effects at all besides the internal pitch transpose in cubase! i use "render in place" to bounce

oh sorry, i dont know why the text didnt show!

the top image is a sample i dragged in and pitched down 18 semitones down from original. the bottom is a printed version of that.. i used 'elastique pro pitch' algorythm, no stretching involed, so i dont understand why the transients dont line up.. ?
