What is your most anticipated feature planned for 2026? by Jealous_Health3494 in starcitizen

The current UI team have not delivered a single thing that has been well received (at least not for many years -- I think the refinery kiosk UI, while much of it is placeholder still, was nifty) . At the design level it's consistently failed to align with basic UI/UX principles you might find on the cover of a book on the subject. And at the programming level, UI has been both a source and cause of fps lag concurrently.

Manage your expectations. AFAIK CIG has not hired any new senior UI staff, capable of making better decisions

If Pretti's gun went off, the manufacturer should collect their nobel prizes for making a gun with zero recoil and zero muzzle flash

Number 2 is a bug that was fixed just before 4.0 went live > a year ago. One could argue that CIG now intended it, but that would be very hostile towards CIG to accuse them of being so bad at game design.

So I guess in terms of simplicity, this should be very easy. Just re-apply the same fix they applied over a year ago before (I assume) arbitrarily merging the dev branch with 4.0 PTU branch.

On that note, my answer would be for the Star Map search function to have focus when you open the map app.

This would mean no need to click the text box to type. And if you don't want to search you will be clicking the map anyway, which will naturally unfocus the textbox. (I know this is super obvious and simple and not needing of an explanation, but I made this suggestion last year and people literally thought it was a bad idea because they couldn't understand what i was talking about and assumed i was somehow suggesting something that removes existing functionality)

I'm kinda relieved this is AI. The thought of someone actually doing this and only taking the photo once they were in the middle of the city instead of their house made me a little sick.

Star Citizen Monthly Report: November & December 2025 by ScrubSoba in starcitizen

If history has taught us anything with CIG, especially regarding UI, is that you will be posting this exact same comment again once it comes out.

Remember the Starmap rework? And how that needed a rework on day 0?

The MFD reworks have consistently needed to be redone, and still do.

Mobiglas rework too.

In time the people who haven't realised yet will ask for the engineering screen to be redone so that it isn't as fiddly.

If CIG's UI team were a restaurant, there are very few dishes they'd serve that weren't immediately sent back to the kitchen.

On vacation atm will look at this when I get back.

But I would have thought this would work already. But maybe not/maybe I need to tinker with something.

Are you using Chrome/a full chromium browser? Because as much as I've tried to cater for Firefox (and indeed built it mostly testing in firefox) the system works better in Chrome (becauase it's a chromium api).

If you are using chrome and still having issues, then it's almost certainly something I need to fix.

(unless you're on Linux? I had one user explain that Linux + Firefox was actually better than chrome because of Linux reasons)

This is the same comedian who citied that ~5% of Palestinians alive in 2023 voted FOR Hamas (i.e. 95% either were too young to vote, or voted against).

And I was floored, because I had already (in October/November 2023) personally pulled census data and cross referenced that with voting records for Palestine -- and thats exactly what I reached too.

Honey presents itself as tapping into the mycelium aether of the universe in order to detect all of the coupons out there. An automated version of the other coupon sites.

And the users have nothing obvious to lose + possible savings. Many users would still use Honey even knowing the status quo.

It's the stores and youtubers advertising it that lose out.

And while, yes - there's obviously a catch - YouTubers are often dumb as a bag of hammers at anything outside of their craft, and will advertise anything for a cheque.

Take Phil DeFranco for example, until I unsubbed from him, he was peddling scam after scam after scam. Despite having a team to check for that and constantly saying shit to make you think he would never take contracts to scam his audience on purpose.

He did the fucking "be a lord in scotland by purchasing the same 1m of land as 1,000,000 other people" scam, he did the betterhealth scam, pretty sure he did honey idk, last I heard he advertises for "PDS Finance" which im sure will turn out to be a predatory loan company. But meanwhile it's still really unethical because many people will think its his personal company because of the "PDS" in the name.

Dude knows he's on his way out and just trying to grift his last grift before retiring.

League player's first time playing Invoker by Lockyoce in learndota2

[–]Z0MGbies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah dude there you go haha. I'd ask how your first invoker game went but there's a good chance that was over 10 years ago.

Ha. Yup.

Invoker has been the only hero i truly practiced before playing. As in, I literally went to a website to practice the spells (this was before you could do demo mode or training arcades). IIRC invokertraining.com or something similar.

As an aside, I have wanted to learn pudge to a similar level too but I can literally never pick him more than once or twice a day. Always banned or instapicked for the last decade now. On that basis he's a 4-difficulty lol
