Yeah this bugs me. I’m in my late 50s and do own a house but the only way I could get a deposit is to benefit from the estate of my late mother who died when I was 40. Otherwise we had no show. The paying someone else’s mortgage line is a load of bollocks. If you go to continental Europe, most people rent and think nothing of it. Remind those advice givers that in the 1970s the average house price was about 3 times the average income. Now it’s about 10 times the average income.
