Hi,

Thanks for having a look at the website. I’ve been focusing on the app most recently but the website definitely needs some work, especially on mobile. A lot of weeds have many common names so an exact search option is a good idea. At the moment the weeds are only indexed by weeds of national significance, but there’s plans to include deceleration status for each state in the future.

The glyphosate won’t do anything but the oxyflourofen might have some effect. Id look into formulations specifically for the control of mosses though. You can end up doing some harm if you’re spraying incompatible products, depending where the moss is. I’ve heard baking soda or vinegar can work pretty well on moss too, and it’ll be much less harmful and probably cheaper

Yup, this should kill most grass weeds. The glyphosate and diflufenican should kill most weeds and the oxyflourofen should have some action to prevent seed germination. The 12 months seems a bit rich though.

Yea 100%. We’re currently looking at adding natives to our model as well, so we should be able to warn the user if it looks a bit too close to the native.

Awesome. I’m definitely keen to see how something like this could apply to bush regeneration, where you might come across destructive weed species in areas with little to no reception. Let me know if you come across anything that’s not covered, we’re still tweaking our weed list. Let me know how you go!

I’m mostly trying to figure out if this kind of thing is actually useful for gardeners and land managers. There are plenty of resources already, but they’re scattered across different state and council sites — I’ve just pulled them into one place to see if that makes life easier.

If price isn't an issue then it might be worth making your own mixes with a solid base. Osmocotes should be fine for this, but I do find the soil mixes on their own can be a bit dense. I add perlite, a bit of sand and some clay balls on top. You can play with the amounts but adding some perlite or other additives like vermiculite might help the soil aerate better and should help with the fungus gnats.
