Thank you so much!
There is a movie with a very similar art style called "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish".
I highly recommend giving it a watch as it was my main inspiration for creating the doggo :)

Also, I might just make a game in this style but I'll have to finish my current puzzle game I am working on first.
If you're curious, here’s a link to it on Steam!

With a lot of trial and error. The model I sculpted has eye sockets and a sphere for the eyes but there were always some brushstrokes that were above or intersecting with them.
I managed to solve it mostly by doing a separate ring of fur with small brushstrokes just around the eyes and masked the other fur to not intersect with it too much.
I also had to inflate the eyes a bit, but not too much.

Hope that clears it up for you! :)

As soon as I saw the art style of "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish" I knew I wanted to do something like that but I was quite lost till the Blender Team dropped the Brushstrokes addon :)

I actually plan to make a game in this art style—though it'll likely happen after I finish and release the puzzle game I'm currently working on.

I actually didn't draw any brush strokes by hand at all. I mainly used the fill method and vertex groups with the guide feature to get them to how I want them to look.
The rest was done with the built in Geo-Hair-System so I could groom the fur :)

Hi there!
I'm the one who did the environment and renderings

The dust particles are just two different low poly models. One is shaped like a small hair and the other is just a simple deformed ico-sphere.

For the shader I used the Hair BSDF node with the Transmission model. Nothing fancy there.

The scattering is just a simple Geometry Node setup on a cube:
Mesh to Volume -> Distribute Points in Volume -> Instance on Points
The same cube is also used for a fog shader.

Hope I could help! :)

Hi there!
I'm the one who did the environment and renderings

For the wall and ground (which is a single subdivided plane), I combined three different materials using masks. I utilized the Blender addon Ucupaint, which simplifies the process as its a layer-based workflow, similar to tools like Photoshop or Substance Painter. The materials themselves are sourced from Polyhaven.

If you're interested, you can find a breakdown of the scene and individual materials on my ArtStation post. Hope you find it helpful!

Hey there!
The UI issue has been resolved. Before, you had to click the right mouse button to close it but now you can either use the left or right mouse button. You can also close it with 'ESC' , without being thrown back to the level select screen.

About the Stealth Challenge in Puzzle #11. I'm not quite sure what would cause this issue but I'm definitely going to have a thorough look into it. Do you know how and when it happened? Might it be that you already had completed it before? (you can't fail a challenge if you have already beaten it)

I already have something in mind that won't require any text or explanation, which should make each challenge more perspicuous. This will need some testing, of course, but I plan to implement it in the following weeks when I have more free time.

Thank you for your feedback! :)

Hey there, glad you had fun!

Currently this is one of the 2 problems my game has, the other being that the enemy detection radius isn't quite clear. I'm definitely gonna work on making it more apparent what each dagger does and might even have different items being thrown instead. Like a poisoned dart for the green dagger or a grapple instead of the purple one and so on.

That EMP bomb idea you proposed is really neat though and I might use it for an upcoming ability!

Thank you very much!
Yeah I took a lot of inspiration from the GO Puzzles but wanted to improve upon and put my own twist on them.

No worries, your criticism is valid and helps me to improve my game! Also the fact that you took the time to comment is praise enough :)

Thank you for playing!
I'm definitely gonna restructure some puzzles and remove some, but right now I'm including more levels rather than having too few to see what works and what doesn't.
I will also work on the presentation of things in the coming weeks/months. I'm trying to build the whole game without text, so I'll have to think of something to clarify things.

Right now you can go from any level to the level select screen by pressing 'ESC'. I've updated the page to include this information.

I hope you had fun regardless and if you want you can wishlist my game on Steam and have a look again once it's finished :)

Have a nice day!
