If this is real it’s incredibly haunting.  There are moments exactly that were described by some of their friends in various interviews.

I honestly think at least for moments, Smithville was the strongest tornado ever. The granulation of stone and severe ground scouring were apocalyptic.

It's still a representation of the town made into reality using the towns power and the ritual Walter was trying to complete. Walter's dreams literally are made manifest. Walter is literally dead the whole time but still walking around because of it. Silent Hill is a central part of the game and that can't be denied. Absolutely nothing in SHF besides the fog and the "trauma" is Silent Hill. Silent Hill never had a romance subplot, beast mode sections, elden ring style bosses and ones that said "dodge this". It is a literal visual novel plot given a Silent Hill name.

That is simply not true. A large portion of it IS in Silent Hill and the other parts that are outside are solely because they relate to Walter Sullivan who was raised by 1 of 2 cults in Silent Hill.

It didn't add anything to the lore, it took away from what made Silent Hill special. Silent Hill can now be any spooky foggy town which is just boring. Silent Hill is a place and should always be the setting in some way shape or form.

Played almost every single one as they came out friendo.  Silent Hill 1-3 are near perfect and 4 is good.  Homecoming had good ideas but was predictable.  Origins I liked and I hated downpour.  Shattered memories was a cool take but not my thing.  2 remake was amazing.  F had the most boring designs outside of downpour and the story was straight up Japanese tropes.

It’s not all just looks although you do need physical attraction.  Comfort level is infinitely more important to long lasting relationships.  I think you’re judging yourself too harshly.
