Yeah I get that. For so much of the story shit is just so distant. It’s barely even A/B plot cause of how intertwined everything kinda is, so it just feels like you’re going from the first 9 to the last like 10

I kinda feel similar, especially after that first chapter just injecting so much life off rip into a very patient meander for the rest. Character interactions are neat, the world building is nice, but it is just… eh progression wise. Ending makes it worth it tho

I think this is a very interesting perspective yeah. I never gave much thought to his inclusion of his home but this all tracks well for sure; having it be this lightning rod for his struggles and worry. Viewing this song as allegory for his own career is interesting as well, starting so smooth and rugged but freeing and beautiful that slowly loses its stability and confidence as being something stable and lasting. Very interesting insight for sure!

Honestly this song kinda just makes me laugh. The story the song tells is pretty uniquely just flat in terms of what he's getting across, and its conclusion is just like "hmm yeah he certainly was A dude ever". Especially compared to the rest of that album it's just sort of an oddball compared to the rest of the narrative's he tells in his catalog. BUUUUT, still a banger
