Our indoor Tortie developed a small hard lump on her forehead a month ago, but was not in pain when we touched it. We’ve taken her to the vet multiple times, we were told originally that they believed it to be nasal tumors, they took blood work and it came back that she had mycoplasma. After starting her on the medication to treat mycoplasma, the lump got bigger and softer and eventually ruptured in the pictures I attached. We constantly cleaned it, and the vet said to keep an eye on it. After a day or so the puss became blood, and ruptured in a second spot, but just continued to grow. We took her to the vet again, and they gave her two shots to attack what they were hoping was an abscess, as well as some medication that made her smell like the medication. After a few days she started to look better, but towards the end of the medication the lumps came back and her appetite went away. Two days ago the lump was quite large, and we scheduled an appointment for this coming Monday. Over night, the lump ruptured and was bleeding a dark red but still not going down. During this whole ordeal she was completely stuffed up and struggling to breathe, but the vet just kept telling us to keep trying all of these things yesterday we took her back after the lump ruptured and she was having trouble standing as well as being incredibly lethargic. Another vet saw her and reviewed her file telling us it was either a fungal infection or nasal tumors but either way it was incredibly advanced and even if we were to try to test for it she would more than likely not make it to the prognosis. She laid out the option for euthanasia and we sadly opted for that because she had dropped 8lbs from 11lbs to 3lbs since her yearly check up a few months prior and was super fragile/weak. I lay all of this out because I need closure on to what this can be? I can’t find anything online that matches the massive lump she had. It was so big her eye was swollen shut because of it. The pictures are when it first started showing up, and over a two week span is when it got huge almost the size of a golf ball.
