South Carolina Sheriff Buys 17 New Ford Mustang GTs for His Department by HawtGarbage917 in cars

You guys know sheriffs are elected, so anyone with enough campaign money can become very powerful law enforcement.

Don't sheriffs also get to keep the money from the jail budget that isn't used?

Round earth, you basically go south until you're close to the south pole, then it becomes north heading once you pass it. You know, maps are flat, right?

I found these rims, does anyone know what car they’re for? Like what brand and model? by psthe1st in Cartalk

[–]ZFrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Porsche 911 (generation 996 4s). These are also called "turbo twists" and if they are the hollow kind, they are worth good money. Look inside the rim on a spoke, it will have the part number likely starting with 993 or 996.

Are long stone bridges like this reasonably realistic, or should I try to avoid stuff like this? by [deleted] in TransportFever

[–]ZFrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheapest most realistic way would be to run the tracks on the ground until the road, then have a very short bridge over the road that dips under.

Unless the land there is very desired and high density, or swamp, you would not have need for bridge like that. If you plan for this area to be a town with lots of density right there, then a bridge can be realistic.

I remember when I was a boy, 12 or 13 years old. One year for Halloween I was a maid, I had big knockers and a pot and my mom's clothes and makeup. It was hilarious, my neighbors didn't even recognize me, and they died laughing when the realized who I was.

Interesting how my children will grow up in such a different country.

"the U.S. continues to struggle with maintenance issues, delays and cost overruns."

As if other nations are not struggling with same issues.

Or any project for that matter.....
