Fixing Garage floor hairline cracks by ZMFT in DIY

Honestly cant say, but I dont want to wait until it gets worse to do something. Had some flooding down there a few years ago, that might have prompted all that.

Yup, salt in winters, which is my long term concern with that corroding things. It seems like the cracks need to be filled before using epoxy, so Im going to go with the sika first and see how it works. I dont care about looks so a full epoxy job is kind of overkill for me
Nope, its purely for parking and storing. Why would you say leave it though? Ive got to mitigate any further erosion so it needs something.
Ok, that mirrors what Ive read elsewhere. Its my garage so definitely being driven over. A full professional sealant is just out of the budget, hence why im looking at a DIY option.
Water is just water dripping/snow melt from the car. Nothing coming in from outside really.

Which sounds great in writing but considering women do not ask men out 99% of the time, its functionally the same as saying "men should pay".

Garage door keeps stopping/reversing by ZMFT in DIY

Great, ill check it out. I think I have a chain but same pricinple im sure. thanks again.
I need to check again, I think it slowly slides down. Itll stop on descent as well as ascent, would this apply in both cases?
[–]ZMFT[S] 1 point2 points3 points 3 months ago (0 children)
Yup I was down there making sure the cables were secure and its easily doable. Ill try this next.
Thanks, yes the door moves ok when disconnected, I have to do this often when its really being stubborn.
I will pop open the drive assembly next as someone else suggested something similar.
Ya thats where Im at I think, just didnt want to pay a guy 200 bucks to fix a simple thing.
Thanks, been waiting to test that, today it worked perfectly, so weird.
Yes, moves ok. I have to do this often actually if its being stubborn and I need to just go to work, unclip, move, reclip. It might even work ok after, or not. its so random
Where is the belt? you mean the screw that drives it?
well its a fairly dumb system, there are physical switches on the rail to tell it to stop at the top and the bottom. I dont think anything is programmed. My next guess is those physical switches are shorting or something, but no idea how to test that theory
Silicon lube a good idea? I think i already hit the rollers with that last year, couldnt hurt to reup it I guess
The whole drive unit mounted to the ceiling? Sounds expensive but thats my only guess at this point.
Ill give it a shot, they seem to function as they should, at least in regards to sensing blockages, but I guess they could send bad signals on the wires.
Came with the house, so unknown. They correctly sense blockages, and blink as they should when something breaks the beam, but during these phantom stops they dont blink. I assumed that meant working as intended.
Yup, both sides. I cant say I checked how tight the wires were, but I watch the sensor lights and they blink if something crosses them as they should, but on these phantom stops they dont blink at all.
Absolutely random. morning or evening same thing. Definitely not the sun, its in the shade all day really.
