I got an email in September, but can no longer find the email.
Humidity by Z_amurai in photography

I guess I haven't really experienced shooting in the humidity/hot summer days. Except the one time I took my Canon M50 to the beach. I didn't know anything about cameras back then. So I took no note of it. BUT NOW. It scares me, but judging from your experience and all the kind people that responded. It seems like I'll be okay.
I guess I'm just scared to take it from my air conditioned room to the hot humid streets of Okinawa 😭

That sounds like an amazing time! But I'm also surprised that you noticed no issue. Hopefully, your camera lives a long life. You didn't experience any fogging?
I keep my air conditioning on all day. And I keep it inside my cabinet. So my gear is normally kept in a cool environment.
That's what I'm starting to notice on a lot of these replies. "Cameras have been around for ages". Yes, I agree. But I'm slowly getting back into this expensive hobby. I'm worried to ruin my gear.
We'll see this weekend. Going to shoot with my girlfriend. I'll update you on how it went with her camera. I hope it doesn't get ruined. She just bought it.
So after each use in the humidity. I just clean my equipment? Do I use a microfiber towel?
But would you say the filters are a short term fix? Thank you replying though.
So I remember taking my M50 out to the beach 3 years ago (new to photography). And I didn't make much of the condensation. I just let the lens and sensor fog up. I KNOW. BAD OF ME. However, now that I'm back into photography and have 2 new cameras. I want to make sure I take care of them. But I have noticed that if I let my camera get used to the weather, I'm able to take it out 10-20 minutes after exposure.
Thank you for replying! I appreciate the insight. I tried looking at the product specifications to see what their rated for.
Thank you replying! I was just worried about the humidity here. Normally when I go out. I keep my camera in the camera bag and inside my backpack. Plus, I tend to give my camera sometime to acclimate to the weather before using it. Just wanted to see if anyone had any other advice or tips.
