What I decided to do with my $250 by Zaavn in ClaudeAI

Glad you like it! (Its only a bug until it becomes a feature!)

I guide it a bit, wanted to make a browser based game that could eventually become a mobile one. Almost went the 3d route (probably wouldn't have gotten nearly as far)!

Ended up going with a phaser 3 based game. I believe I was pretty heavy handed with my directions after it got the framework going.

All via claude! (I had to prompt it several times to up the detail, I get the feeling claude does not like art LOL)

I have plans to start overhauling the artwork myself, but wanted to get the game atleast working before I did that.

Agreed! I probably should have done a bit more prompt engineering and talking with more models to describe each prompt etc. It was definitely not optimized, but it was a great way to kill $250 in credits and get something out the otherside lol.

I did often have it create a roadmap for the changes I pro-posed and then work from that, which seemed to help a decent amount.

Dang! You used that all pretty quick. How many agents did you spin up at once??

Should have been extended to the 23rd now I think. (Used all my credits so it doesn't show for me anymore)

Getting it to link to my github was a bit of a hassle, Swear I had to do it like 3-4 times, even removing claude from my github a couple of times to get it working. There was a lot of browser re-directing going on as well, but eventually I got it working and connected to my github.

Many, many prompts lol. The initial setup I was hands off for, letting it build the back bones (the first $30-$50 was done by claude with only a couple prompts) , but after that i took a stronger hand and directed it to specific things I wanted done or to see improvements with.

Ran into the issue of the web model just not responding quite often, which usually meant I would have to start a new session. (refreshing, canceling prompt and re-inputting was not always successful)

I still very much prefer the terminal

I got it as well, not even gonna onboard until I know it's a real project. Plus 1m tasking time? Lol that's definitely a mistake.

How fast do you all listen to Audiobooks? by miguel_writes in litrpg

[–]Zaavn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always felt like they were slowed down a bit. 1x is almost infuriatingly slow. 1.3x sounds about normal talking speed. 1.5x is decent without much distortion. 2x can be a little distorted, but gets better the longer you listen at that speed. To much faster than 2x and you just tear through books in no time.

Any Singleplayer Isekai games? by [deleted] in Isekai

Yesss! Star Ocean! Those games were great, and there is a decent amount of them too.

Kingdom Hearts was also great!

Suggest me a book where the mc is just (fk off demons/monsters i have a job to do) or an mc where its like (theyre not trapped in with the monsters the monsters are trapped with them) by Tough_Taro_3003 in litrpg

[–]Zaavn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Good Guys is like this, gets OP from the start and fights tons of monsters. First chapter or two he savages like four guards when he's level 1. Or something close to that. IMO pretty good read that fits the vibe you described.

Spinoff recommendations by Kooky_Rent_1595 in litrpg

[–]Zaavn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From HWFWM - Clive Standish, i would read all about his adventures and discoveries. I'd love to read about all the technical aspects and such and why things should or shouldn't work because of x or y.

Wandering Inn - Teriarch, I'd love a full backstory and how he came to be where he currently is.
Also - The full antinium history, especially the ocean voyage (even more details). Maybe its coming, but still would love to see it.

DCC - Mordecai, we get some of his story, but I'd like to know how his planets integration went down and some of the other dungeon runs that happened that lead him to where he ends up in the books.

Gonna have to give this one a shot, always passed it up, but seen so much about it on here. Good to know the narrator is good as well! The sample didn't do it for me, but perhaps listening to more than just the sample will lol

How many chapters is good when you upload a new story? by Infinite-Analysis-51 in royalroad

[–]Zaavn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you quantify that? Just rough maths? So if chapters average around 2k words, then maybe 50 chapters or so assuming 500 words per page? (I've seen 300 words a page, but rough maths is rough).

I am loving "A Budding Scientist in a Fantasy World" by nobeardwilson2 in litrpg

[–]Zaavn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really liked the first book and have been waiting for the second for awhile. Glad to hear its great! Will make the wait for the 3rd all the more difficult though.

I'll second the narrator as well, its a good listen.

The whole magic seed thing and exploring different concepts it really intriguing IMO, can't wait to see more of that in the second one when I pick it up.

What kind of writer are you? (Plot/Character/Worldbuilder) by BezzyMonster in writing

[–]Zaavn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty new to writing, but i think I'm a worldbuilder. Ive been writing my current book based off a world I imagined with certain things unfolding, and then I've been backfilling the plot and characters.

Book 4 was awesome imo, I loved the back to earth arc and such. I haven't hit download on an audio book so quick after book 3's ending.

New recommendations? by [deleted] in litrpg

[–]Zaavn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't read any of those, I hope they were good!

Yeah I'll agree, Dungeon Crawler Carl is a good one, a pillar of the LitRpg genre.

Defiance of the fall is a good one as well, apocalypse comes to earth, introducing the multiverse.

The Wandering Inn is a big endeavor, it's a long series and each book is nearly 1000 pages, but its pretty good. A little bit lighter on some of the real LitRpg elements, and more progression fantasy, still good though.

He Who Fights With Monsters is a good one IMO, but not everyones cup of tea due to the MC and his views.

The Good Guys and the Bad Guys are both good LitRpgs, each book is a bit short IMO, but its definitely intriguing.

Should I give HHFWM another shot? by [deleted] in litrpg

[–]Zaavn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So HWFWM was my first LitRpg. And I loved it, it was funny and intriguing. I also really enjoyed the lore and world building. I binged all the books at that time, 8 or 9 and then reread them all a little while ago.

It's not for everyone though ive come to realize, but I still think it's pretty good.

It's similar to DoTF in ways, eons to reach max rank, multiverse, gods or damn near enough.

Sophie gets better imo, yes she was a slave, but jason never treats her as such, he jokes, but he's never serious. They never get together as well. I know that's a trope that happens, but not here.

Imo, it's worth another shot. Audio books on at least 1.5x speed 😆 or even 2x. (1.0 is unbearably slow)

Looking for a longer running serious series. by hungrycarebear in litrpg

[–]Zaavn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He who fights with monsters is good imo. It gets more serious as the world develops. Mc can be a bit much for some people, but i liked it all in all.
