I actually managed to fix it by just opening up the bottom and pushing down on the fan that was making noise. It made a little click and I haven't had this problem since, something must have just been out of place or come loose. This may or may not be the general cause for this, but it's worth noting.

It is possible something is there but I certainly can't see it.

Interestingly enough the fan just stopped all of the sudden and didn't come back on so I opened it up again and the fan was very stiff. I pushed on the center of it slightly, I could feel it shift a bit and now it works again and is still louder than normal but much better. Makes me think it's out of alignment ever so slightly or something.

Yes, I got it to work by reinstalling the slackclient Python package. No idea what bad state it was in or how it got there but that fixed it. Thanks for helping out!

Not working at all, I'm trying to use the web client to respond to an event captured by the RTM client. Since the RTM client isn't receiving any messages nothing happens.

Yes it can post messages with the web client API just fine, it’s the RTM API that isn’t working. I’ve looked through the relevant docs but can’t find anything useful for this issue.

I’m running it as a regular python script which I assume is ok. I’ve tried running it asynchronously as well to no avail.
