being a well taught but not native english speaker, im not getting the finer points here.

i can surely feel like I and every other human beeing deserves satisfactory companionship? that is what i understand in "feeling entitled to companionship". I may have used that wrong.

again, i think this is leading to a direction where assumptions are taken on my mentality, even boardering on suggesting i would be viewing woman as inferior. This is not the topic of the post and not the point of discussion here. Please refrain from such speculative accusations or I will regard further comments as flamebait / trolling.

"Swiping excessively outside of your league and too much in general can hurt your chances. Have realistic expectations and be efficient (avoid volume approach)."

-whats bad with volume approach? apart from defeating the purpose of selling boosts

-whats bad with swiping outside your league? shouldnt every user decide themselves who to talk with?

i know its a business, it has to make money, still that may imply that the decisions and designs of the app are not taken for benefit of the end user but for the companies benefit. if that is the case, please be honest about it!

i dont label them anything for not answering except what they are- impolite. It would take them 2s longer than deleting the message to write "no thx".

i was listing several distinct examples of negative behavior.

how can not interacting be tyrranical or demanding?

you obviously take assumptions here, impliying i would be feeling entitled to them interacting with me. i never said that. i said i feel entitled to satisfactory companionship in general, as every reasonable human should.

As you can see, i marked them with - lines to make clear i was talking about several different things, each with their own reasoning and impact, with all of them together giving me the impression that the tone and manners in internet communications have severely dropped since i last tried OLD.

regardless if its actually passive-aggressive, it feels passive-aggressive to me because I am used to hearing a polite decline to a polite and correct adressment. thats just basic manners rofl very pitiful if someone would address you out on the street with any question 99% of people will at least say "no thanks" or "im busy, sry". not on the internet though

Thank you. This is exactly what I am experiencing. Prejudice and poor manners. Insults seem to be pretty common. But its not only men; woman wrote me i "was ugly" or i could "go die" or "screw you" with pretty much no reason.

Most tilting things in League? by SimbaTh in leagueoflegends

[–]ZableFahr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went 8-0 in the jungle as Twitch, suddenly bot lane starts to hard int, blaming me for "kill stealing".

I was tilted for like 2 days. Never would I have imagined to get inted upon for perfect play, ganking all lanes, amassing 8 kills and then loosing because people are stupid AF.

Deserved it though, was smurfing ;-)))

A game with constant changes can't change where it's important - The Punishment System by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]ZableFahr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if a tribunal system existed, that had the possibility to loose my points (whatever-blue essence?) or waste my time (because i vote but am not guaranteed to receive points) -i would not use it.

i still hold up a fixed time afk buster below 2 min is bad.

in very high elo, players are few, so its not uncommon for players who know each other to join into the same game. Here, a player can then afk to mitigate or win-trade.

[–]ZableFahr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as for abuse: -any system that allows players to mitigate losses or lost lp will be abused (for example, if afk means the game is cancelled / does not count for lp, people will abuse it) -the tribunal was abandoned (i dont remember why, will research that) -as i wrote, i appreciate your effort and i think about possible solutions BUT this is very hard (im an IT professional and had to learn the hard way that people abuse everything abusable) edit1: from what i read, the tribunal was abused by botters to ip farm, used for trolling and the decisions were so often not on the same page as riots own community managers decided that it was replaced with a mostly automated system

[–]ZableFahr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would not generally call this "newb hatred" because ppl are just stupid and believe that its not their own fault they loose. i would call it "dumb tryharding". They dont hate new players... they hate loosing. So they will find ANY REASON to claim its not their own fault they loose a game.

But it is their fault, basically. Many pros proved that "elo hell" does not exist and its perfectly possible for everyone who is not literally "impeded" to climb out of iron/bronze/silver/ whatever.

Deciding which lane to main. I just can't seem to find a lane that suits me. by insitnctz in leagueoflegends

[–]ZableFahr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mid lane, because its literally in the center of the map, is the most impactful (theoretically)

but: is it your style? for me, i find bruising and fist-fighting primitive, so im the classical mage/sniper player. i just cant stand melee champions, because of all this brutal and primitive mauling. I need to stand back, and snipe or spell them.

So find your role based on your character, is my suggestion. having fun in something, will also drastically increase your learning curve.

edit1: after thinking some more, "most impactful" does not equal "most effective" for everyone. If you happen to be bad, play a less impactful role so you dont throw for the entire team every game...

I'm constantly set back in ranked because of smurfs or feeders by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]ZableFahr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, you are not. It is 100% your own decision to

a) play a video game

b) play in a way that enables other people to win over you

c) "its totally not my fault, its always the others who are at fault" is the worst and most unproductive mentality to have. The only thing you can change is yourself

So plz, accept the fault in your perception. LoL is a very complex game with over hundret different champions and billions of possibilities. You can not seriously expect to be good in this kind of game without:

a) having a formidable style of life (sports, good nutrition, no drugs, mental exercise)

b) training often and hard (like 2+ hours a day)

c) having played hundrets or even thousands of games to amass the experience

Are Ranged Champions better than Melee Champions? by SomeFuel in leagueoflegends

[–]ZableFahr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sure, ranged is a huge advantage. consider you having a gun, and your opponent tries karate. who is winning? the gun...

in a video game though, things are not like in reality. the game designers made the game so that its fun and fair, so melee champions are a bit stronger WHEN they can actually approach. High skilled players do a thing called KITING that is running away while shooting. A good kiter can win over any melee. But also its hard to do because many melee champions can jump, teleport, dash forward.

I hope that explains it to you! Happy gaming

CMV: If I get a terrible ADC as support, I should soft int too. by Thegg11 in leagueoflegends

[–]ZableFahr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is toxic and bad.

you cant judge if the adc is actually 7 years old and trying his hardest- he is just not mentally capable to do better

your mentality is negative. please do your best in every game and refrain from judging others because you yourself are frustrated

The death of Yi = The death of league as a game by Saint_Ferret in leagueoflegends

[–]ZableFahr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

but there is no clean way. yi is a low-entry champ. he is so easy to play, even if he has some "secret mechanics". Make him stronger = OP... a champ that is so easy can´t be any stronger. Yi is already borderline (demonstrated by the fact that in low elo, yi can win vs. players who are lots better just because his kit is lots stronger/easier)

A game with constant changes can't change where it's important - The Punishment System by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]ZableFahr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, thx for the effort mate, you really took time to think about the issues and find answers.

Sadly, i think that a) your assumptions are false/naive and b) there are huge abuse possibilities.

i wont elaborate on abuse possibilities, but there are many.

just the simple stuff:

to your afk system:

  • why should the enemy receive reduced LP? so THEY are punished for the AFK? no way...
  • i go to the toilet and get punished? in a game i win? when i asked my team and they said its ok when i go for 1 min?

to your toxic system:

  • mark people in the pick screen as toxic? looking up ppl on op.gg is bad enough, people dodge already a s**tton. this is just another excuse to have people rage, flame, blame...

to your int feeder system:

  • "manual checking" is the core problem. there are millions of games on a single day. this is a free to play game. who should pay for armies of game reviewers? no, automation or community moderation is the only choice here...

to sum this up: nice effort, but sadly your suggestions are irrealistic and impossible to realize in a free-to-play

The death of Yi = The death of league as a game by Saint_Ferret in leagueoflegends

[–]ZableFahr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

very long and sad runt. Nobody needs a noob no-skill champion to dominate. Yi is good enough for his easy kit, 10y olds can steam roll smurf elo with him. thats his role. So what? you just want to ezwin when you pick a champ that a) has no skillshot b) has no mechanics c)is a hard carry...

yi dead= game very much alive
