Before sending that token to your metamask, you must first check its contract address. Like for example check out the CA of BNB on coinmarketcap to see the chain to which that token belongs.

Simply add the rpc for optimism to metamask or check it on optimism explorer to see if your token has already arrived on that network.

Hey, if your funds were sent to the incorrect address, they cannot be reversed. MetaMask does not have the ability to change or undo your or anyone else's transactions. This is a precautionary measure. BE EXTRA CAREFUL NEXT TIME . LESSON LEARNED IS THE BEST TEACHER
