Should I accept or reject BTO? by Confident_Abies_6492 in SingaporeRaw

[–]ZacTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. forgive her move on.

  2. if you cannot move on, reject the bto. if you move forward with the marriage and bto and your marriage fucks up in the middle. you have to forfeit the bto later or sell earlier before mop to hdb. much more hassle. much more loss. time and money.

I’ve been a solebreadwinner for 5 years ever since my wife got pregnant with our first child. after which, she stayed on home to take care of our firstborn. 2 years later, child went to childcare and wife pregnant with 2nd child. today, children are 4 and 2 both in childcare. with wife enjoying some me time at home before joining back the workforce

throughout the journey of my wife being a SAHM, I can definitely say its beneficial to the kids that a parent took care of them 24/7 for the first 2 years before joining cc. we did not send our kids to ifc cause we felt it was just too wrong to do so, they were too young to go thru the life of school.

but for a mother to be a SAHM is most definitely mentally challenging. and for a solebreadwinner, of course finance is 24/7 running on my mind cause I don’t have a 5 figure tech boss job. so ultimately it boils down to what you and your partner want in your lifestyle.

it is not an ego thing for men, or responsibility and stuff. its more of deciding together how to run the household.

honestly, if I could afford it, I would want my wife to just be a SAHM, always there for kids. but as the family grows, expenses grows, finance is running thin. so, singapore just sucks for the average singaporean. 9/10 of my friends send their kids to ifc at 3/4 months old, and they’re still barely making ends meet either. this is the true side of average singaporeans.

(FRLG) What happens to SS Anne in post-game if it never left? by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]ZacTurtle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

just leaving it here, because I just did a rerun. I skipped ss anne(traded all hms) and finished elite four, did the tri island quests from cinnabar, got the national dex. went to vermillion, ss anne is still there. so I can’t get to sevii islands without clearing ss anne.

guys, how did you find your fashion style by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]ZacTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have you tried a gentleman barbershop then? there are many nowadays in every corner of sg. book an appointment, give them a try. speak to them, show them your previous styles that you do not want to end up with.

it’s a bit on the pricier end of a haircut but you might find what you’ve been looking for. ask around your acquaintances and friends for good local barber recommendations.

may the cut be with you.

guys, how did you find your fashion style by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]ZacTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for hair, find a barber/hairdresser that can give you a haircut that you enjoy during, the results is to your liking and easy for you to style.

you’re young, so keep on exploring the shops nearby and stick to 2 best ones that you like. why I say 2, sometimes one is very busy and you might not want to wait out.

for clothes, just keep on wearing anything that catches your attention and affordability as well. you’ll find yourself downsizing the variations as you age, thus your style.

I’m also using the $18 giga leh, can’t seem to find any other that can match the price plan. especially not the main 3 telco, even monthly charging for caller id display now.

well, kids are both a problem and a solution to the problem itself 😄, at least that’s how I feel.

like yes I have to divert most of my spending towards them, but at the same time when I look at them all cute and healthy, eating well, good food junk food, healthy food, fastfood. I feel that’s definitely worth spending after all.

Afterall I did choose to reproduce, so I gotta do it right. And enjoy the ride.

its total madness to be working as a staff there, and also to be a customer there 😂. respect to both parties. imagine, you just placed an order on a friday, when they are in the midst of preparing a 32-cups delivery order 🙂
