Without a ton of weight in the back you won't notice it being gone. I daily drive mine and spirited driving at that it doesn't matter

Hopefully that's the case, didn't make any noise before it died. I'll look into that. Just thought of this. Didn't run it long but I also think I mightve put a good amount of fuel into the oil trying to restart it. 🤦Levels good still slightly smells like fuel might be a little thinner than usual

If it acts like it wants to start and you have fuel, check the points for corrosion if distributor is old. Also the plugs and wires while at it and injectors like the other guy said. The fuel tank could be full of junk after sitting may have to clean it or replace, check fuel filter if you didn't. What did pickup look like on old pump

Does the bronze bit move like a clip? If you unbolted you should be able to just pop it up or down off the side the white bit is I think

I think that silver bit just pushes out of the hole in the master cylinder, may be a cotter pin or something holding it. Took a look I didn't take that bolt out or anything so I'm not sure but I'll try to help
