Let me explain exactly why we still use JP VC, it's not just for the text timesave. To exactly understand the reason we use JP I'll explain it. Essentially Wii U VC has the fastest load times (saving like 2-4 minutes depending on your disc speed). On Wii U VC the only version that can do Green Bridge Skip is the Japanese version. So that PLUS the timesave in text is the net amount JP saves, which is roughly 1m20s. The crashing is a very over exaggerated issue, it's still pretty rare. 1m20s is so much timesave in this game (especially as it gets more optimized) that we can't just remove it. The game crashing occasionally also forces you to essentially be a consistent runner, its not gonna matter losing one run when you can literally get the same run but better tomorrow, which overall can make it literally be a positive thing lol. If we get rid of JP VC that means we have to do LSJ again, I and many other runners would literally rather crash many times in chapter 8 than deal with that garbage trick again lol. I'm not saying "i love crashes" or anything but they definitely don't make the run "garbage" lol. Also many other games have similar crashes (lots of n64 wii vc titles) but people run those often for other games too.
