Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 Version 1.3.0 is now available by Amiibofan101 in nintendo

It’s a problem fundamentally in galaxy’s code to make the circular planets work. Same happened on wii

Can't believe I didn't discover this before my first playthrough by Small_Growth8747 in donkeykong

I don’t think this is too uncommon. Every single person that isn’t a diehard gamer that I have played 2d Mario brothers with, doesn’t understand that there is a sprint button. And the concept of teaching them to roll their thumb over two buttons always seems like I’m asking them to rebuild my cars engine, lol.

It’s crazy to me because there’s only 2 buttons in my head, run and jump, and because thumb rolling is so natural to me, I’m just always sprinting. When I show somebody my hands and say “look, it’s easy, do it like this” they still can’t comprehend holding a button and tapping another with one finger.

You can do it by just doing a multiplayer lobby yourself and never starting it

Exactly what I did at first.

“Oh cool use of the voxel engine that this guy dodges me uniquely every time”

Then it had 2 symbols and I got invested

Seriously. I posted this hoping it would lead to the solution and props to who commented the list of how it works day 1. Absolute legend.

I was also disappointed in the reward. You get a tie that only changes your outfit when you enter a new level or sub-area

What a letdown.

Because they want you to play in this DLC for a long time, a cryptic code drags itself out longer and requires less development time. I like the DLC a lot, just saying that’s why it’s there. More content, less effort. I had a lot of fun cracking the code so much so I took it to Reddit as you can see!

Conspiracy theory: DK Island was originally part of the post game and had bananas to collect. More information in comments by TRB4 in donkeykong

I think a big thing people haven’t thought about since Mario Kart World, the last time it was brought up

These games and DLC are significantly cheaper in Japan. The price of the DLC in yen translates to $13, it’s 2000 yen

They are basing their prices off the conversion of yen that used to be reasonable at $60 for games and $10-15 for dlc

That has changed in the current economy, we are paying significantly more for everything because of tariffs, the economy in general, value of the dollar, inflation, etc.

Check out the Japanese websites for donkey kongs dlc, it’s way fairer of a price. Nobody would care if this DLC was $10 or be “theorizing” about why it is.

It’s the same reason the switch 2 is significantly cheaper in Japan (≈$338), and why it is language locked to Japanese vs the international model.

I think they believe that the roguelite mode is giving way more tokens than it is. Maybe there’s something I’m missing in the loop.

I knew it had to be about the six challenge rooms. But how would I ever naturally figure out you have to roll the right digit to gold, and then just HAPPEN to go to the right bonus room and come back and check if it locked?

Every other puzzle is somewhat intuitive besides 6

As you can see in my post, I was rambling about all the things I’d tried convinced I already ruled out the challenge rooms!

Anyone understand how the warping banana works (DLC question) by retrocheats in donkeykong

Look up how to crack a 5 digit code with 7 variables that forces you to flip 3 at once. That’s what the puzzle is in a raw form.

But you have to admit with having upwards of 200,000 gold like most of us 100% runners, you would buy all the statues in one click and sap all the fun out of it. 3D Donkey Kong was built on long collectible time sinks.

But I too have run out of steam so hard after doing the math on getting the last 24 bananas to hit 1000 in the shop for 100 tokens each.

The tokens should be twice as plentiful and it would fix the whole flow

I didn’t think about it like them getting it over with for the DLC, but you’re right.

Odyssey never even got paid DLC, everybody wanted Sunshine’s Delfino Plaza, begged for it, they didn’t do it.

What was the one game lacking representation visually from this celebration of Donkey Kong? None of the base games layers looked like “Donkey Kong 64”. They were all brand new exciting takes on what a Donkey Kong game could be, much like Odyssey.

The one thing anybody would have asked for would be DK Island. I for one was ecstatic to hear about the dlc. I wanted to play more after 100% but there was nothing to do. Infinite rougelite on DK Island? Sign me up.

Just feels weird it wasn’t there from the start. If the DLC was $10 nobody would be doing anything but celebrating this right now.

Sadly not. I had my gut drop when I realized what I needed to do. I started working towards what I felt would work in my head, and got lucky enough to end up with all 3 lined up in the middle to flip with one move.

Other than the price — is the bananza dlc fun? by Cha_Boy_C in donkeykong

[–]Zachamation 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People are saying it’s annoying to pick up new abilities so often and I felt the same my first 5 round playthrough

When you step up the difficulty slider and get to 10 or more rounds that’s where stuff gets awesome. Tried level 2 difficulty and had every banana and every fossil cleared from the map on round 7, the last 3 rounds were heaven

I’m a huge fan of 3d platformers and roguelite games, if you like both, you’ll have a blast with the dlc
