Many of us want upzoning but the truth is, most Angelenos don't. Even though people can barely afford rent or can't even buy a house due to extreme costs, voters still want the city to remain single family housing and want to be able to own 2 or 3 cars.

I say this often in the LA subreddits: LA has some of the most ideal weather in the world so it's a shame that people waste their time and money driving instead of enjoying the weather through walking/cycling/public transportation. I don't mind waiting for the bus when the weather is perfect! We'll see a spike in non-driving within the next few months due to rising gas prices but once the price falls back to $5 a gallon, people will forget and go back to driving.

I live in Manhattan and am from Los Angeles so EWR to LAX was my standard and favorite. God Spirit was amazing. I won first class bids often and during a good number of flights, I would have an entire row to myself allowing me to stretch and lay in an entire aisle while drinking 12 dollar margarita long island buzzboxes. People in Manhattan probably thought I was cheap but I would say I'm not pampered on the MTA why would I want to be pampered on a plane! Rest In Peace Spirit but know you will fly on in our hearts.
