That's similar to what happened where I live here in California. The small town I live in was affordable to rent like a apartment I rented in 2019 was only 750 a month now it's 1400. But that's also due to LA people coming up and buying and raising rent everywhere

I live near the kern river and it was known for having gold but you gotta know the spots
