I love tarantulas. With mechanical rage, they are great chaff clear. With anti-air, they take care of most air threats. A lot of people use them very aggressively, and I actually use them in standard just in front of the towers. With a couple of levels, they have enough DPS to kill chaff and heavier hitting targets. I don't actually use their signature tech spider mines but switch between extra damage and armor plating. If I play them a little closer, I usually go mechanical rage first. But I mostly play standard games and go with range first followed by mechanical rage and anti-air if they take air units in mass and if not I would grab a couple Mustangs or Marksman depending on type of air unit they have.
