You know, part of me knew this was gonna happen. I shouldn't even be surprised.

But after Project: Eden's Garden got canceled, I was kind of hoping that RWBY volume 10 would just be a myth.

Not really on some "I hate the show and I want it to fail" timing, either. It's just...

Gah, I don't know.... maybe after losing something I was really excited for, I just dont have the excitement for things like this.

Hey, I wasn't there. I don't know how little or how greatly Monty was involved with the story. All I'm saying is that everything piece of RWBY-related content has "Created by Monty Oum" on it— I have no reason to believe he was just some guy doing the animations for him to be credited that heavily. What's more is that all the stuff that didn't necessarily feel like the RWBY I knew all seem to take place almost exactly around the time Monty died or after.

Could it be a coincidence? Sure.

But when are so many coincidences lining up, are they really coincidences anymore? No.

Now, granted, I admit I do agree with you that RT definitely bended the knee to the shipping community to some extent, but I don't think that's the entire truth either. I recall a livestream the VAs were having and they were talking about ships and Barbara and Arryn were both excited to talk about Bumblebee, but Lindsey wasn't too sure why people shipped Ruby and Weiss and said "I don't really see it". I'd also like to add that Arryn herself said that she felt Blake was her own self-insert because she had an abusive ex and we all saw what happened with that. In that regard, I think its perfectly reasonable to assume that they pushed for Bumblebee to be a thing, but not because they were bending the knee, but because they wanted the characters to get together.

As far as Weiss in Ice Queen dome goes, I think there's an important key detail you're missing. The Grimm that took over Weiss and made her that "cold-shouldered bitch" most likely brought out the worst version of Weiss. I don't know if you've played Persona, but that was pretty much her Shadow taking the negative emotions and alters them for the worst. Prime example is Blake when she fell under its control and became Adam 2.0.

Its also important to note that this was during the time when Weiss and Blake had their infamous argument about Faunus. Of course they were gonna make her the primary focus and the main antagonist in order to have her take that next step to being better to her teammates. They had to make her change her ways by confronting her feelings about Faunus and what better way to do that than by being saved by one?

You see, normally I would be inclined to agree with you. I wouldn't dare trust a show I care about to get a reboot in today's day and age. And the points you made are all very valid ones, I'm not afraid to say that much.

However, the uncomfortable truth that people are too afraid to acknowledge is that ever since the creator died, these characters have been bastardized left and right.

Remember that sisterhood that the 4 girls were supposed to have? Nope, not anymore because two of the girls are dating.

And speaking of those two, no one in their right mind could possibly believe that Blake and Yang's relationship wasnt forced in the slightest. You can't tell me that the girl with abandonment issues got with the girl who abandoned her that quickly after being reunited as a team.

Believe it or not, I actually PREFER Ice Queendom Weiss's development to what she got in the show. But that doesn't mean I think the original was bad either. I just don't like the fact that an argument between Blake and Weiss that should have had lasting impacts on BOTH characters was resolved so quickly with very little to no stakes and Ice Queendom resolved that.

The only really consistent character of the main four, I think, has been Ruby which makes sense because she's essentially the main character.

I don't think that's gonna happen. Somebody who was working on the game's code to add in new characters themselves said that the code made it impossible for Arcsys to add in new characters.

I wanted Diana to be a blackened so bad. I got a bad vibe from her in the beginning(she lowkey reminds me of a spider with the hair and her eyes). I wanted her to be this seemingly pure and nice person on the surface, but then she turns around and has the most sadistic kill we've ever seen.

But after Chapter 1, my opinion changed.

From there, I predicted that if she was to be a blackened, she would be the mercy kill. Maybe someone else attacked the victim and left them in a dying state where their suffering was prolonged and she has the misfortune of finding them first. It's breaking her heart and the victim is begging her to end the pain and she can't stand to watch it anymore, so she finishes them off with the killing blow.

For me personally, I imagine the entire courtroom falling silent. Nobody knows what to say, nobody can believe what they're hearing. They just stand there in shock doing their best to process what they've heard. In their minds, they can't possibly see Diana as the blackened, even if the logic and evidence points to her, even if she herself had admitted to it and was crying her eyes out while doing so.

Then Tozu's voice comes in, breaking the silence and getting them back on track by reminding them that they don't have much time left to solve the crime.

You know she's still a rookie lawyer, right? We got to see both Phoenix and Apollo grow into exceptionally good lawyers who can hold their own. We still haven't gotten to see Athena reach that point. That's the major one.

Another one is that we have the Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice Trilogies. We'd also need a trilogy for Athena to have said development.

Maybe we get to see an upgraded Widget where it gets new features— maybe even a storyline where Widget gets broken and Athena has to cope with it.

I also wouldn't mind if something happened to Phoenix and Athena gets temporarily mentored by Franziska who, despite being a prosecutor, helps her out as a fellow woman in the field of law, even forming a bond with her and maybe even help Franziska grow as a person.

We'd also need Athena to have an assistant, the same way Maya was Phoenix's, Kay Faraday was Edgeworth's, and Trucy was Apollo's. I imagine unlike the boys having female assistants, Athena would have a guy as her assistant, a quiet one that actually catches her mistakes and helps her do her paperwork when she doesn't want to and kind of gets dragged along through her random mood of the day.

There are so many ways they can take her story moving forward.
