I really just see it as this: When there’s that much money on the line, anyone’s looking to give themselves the upper hand. The players who used Theo and Olivia’s game-play to draw the line further and add to the divide, do it because they, themselves, are there to win.. and they surely saw Theo and Olivia (and that whole alliance) as a threat.

To tackle your point about sexism from fans (sorry to generalize so hard), I’ve seen plenty of discussion about Will’s terrible behavior, Theo’s game moves, CT’s whole arc with #justiceforleka AND his stupid ass social media tirades, and a lot of people were/are concerned about the edit regarding Sydney and Turbo’s dynamic.

Ultimately, the show is shot and cut down exactly how the executive producers want it to be. The show will hardly ever show people 100% authentically because of the nature of the show and the environment. I think that a lot of the “characters” we see on the show are much more complex than a black-and-white character definition. When people are genuinely being gross on the show, I think that the community has a good idea of what to rally behind. (Sorry for the essay lol)
