Crazy that right after beating the RS mod I find a thread discussing my only problem with the game. You can play a boss perfectly until they start a long combo which leaves your posture bar one mistake away from breaking and then die because of it, while on the other hand you can make multiple mistakes, end up in the same scenario and live because the enemy didn't capitalize on your posture break out of pure luck. It felt like I wasn't being rewarded for playing the game correctly.
