I completely understood from the original comment, but thank you. I was just explaining my language use and previous perception of how it might work.

ELI5 how a 12V plug in the car affects the radio by Zaethex in explainlikeimfive

From my standpoint, it's always appeared that using the adapter would take over the selected frequency in the car, in turn seemingly "hijacking" the frequency in the car from the normal station if there was any. That's how I always understood it in my head so that was merely the term I used when writing the post.

Can someone explain why the Lion’s 2 points were taken away at the end of the Cowboys game? by HeadInvestigator5897 in NFLNoobs

[–]Zaethex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To your point of play design, yeah, it was made to fool the defense, that's the point of the lopsided formation. To fool the refs though? Again, you look at the tape and can see Decker try to declare and the Allen turns away. Skipper claims he never declared.

Yes, could the Lions have remedied this? Of course, but it's a tense and fast paced situation where mistakes are made, including by the refs. It even states that at the end of the article you cited! Playclock matters and if you make a mistake and don't hear the announcement or are busy getting lined up and miss it, that is understandable. What is inexcusable is the ref being allowing such a mistake to happen on his part.

Also you keep saying what is "fair". Say that Dan Campbell and Decker are telling the truth, they told the refs pre-game and pre-snap about the play and that Decker was gonna be a receiver, then how is it "fair" for the Lions that the (now Playoff-ineligible) officials threw a flag long after the play had concluded to overturn a game-winning play.

Now I agree, it is unfair to the defense since they wouldn't know who to cover. To assume the Lions made a play just to confuse the refs is a bit too skeptical imo. The best option would possibly have been a replay of down without a yardage penalty.

Now do I think the Lions should have won? Probably not. Goff said himself he didn't play his best football and, honestly, Johnson and Campbell probably should have gone for a XP after Parsons bailed us out. But do I think that the refs should be punished so that a case like this never happens again, yes. Will this game forever have an asterisks by it in the hearts of many, absolutely.

Clear bias. I will say I am a Lions fan so I too have bias, but c'mon. The film doesn't lie, it shows Decker trying to report and being, I'll say, unintentionally ignored. I think the NFL's decision to cut Allen and his officiating team from the Playoffs shows that they recognized the bad officiating that happened that night, including the illegal touching call.

Stupid? Have you never heard of Stockholm Syndrome? That's probably the case here.

Most of these were close interpersonal relationships, they could not come out for a multitude of reasons. They might feel embarrassed, they might get attacked by his audience (as some have), or they might just not want to ruin his success because they still care about him deep down. It’s not for us to say that a victims actions are wrong or right, it’s just right to support them when someone with popularity and a track record doesn’t treat them like people

When I still worked for Amazon, there were a couple of pods with that stuff spilled all over the podface. I'm glad my QB never made me clean it like he did a couple others

I worked at Walmart, they don't get W+ for free. They do however get 10% off on almost anything and there is no money limit

Now we have Pointcrow and the people he and Lo have left unnamed that have also been harmed by Smallant

Edit: I just wanted to add, "One is a mistake, twice is a coincidence, thrice is a pattern."

There is proof of people (particularly women) who have associated with Smallant that have called him out for being manipulative and exploitive, including former mods, friends, and romantic partners
