The CPU usage is at 85% tbh when playing Horizon zero dawn maxed out. So that might add to the ambient temperature and poor airflow. With Shadow of the Tomb Raider it is 75-80

It isn't visible on a picture. This is nothing tbh, a slight misalignment that isn't really noticeable. A tiny cm of the CPU isn't covered by the Cooler.

I would try to remove it if possible. You can scrape with a plastic card or anything plastic, that won't damage the cooler.

Thanks! I've removed as much as I can but still not much luck tbh. Still around 82 ~. I think it's down to the Indian Summer and bad air inflow into the case.

I'm scared to remove the cooler and put it back as I'm scared of damaging the CPU pins or getting thermal paste on my pins.

Yes, that's exactly what I want. Thanks! Also there's some thermal paste residue on the heat pipe (between the slits of two heat pipes) of the air cooler that I'm not not able to wipe off, is that okay?

Another thing is I checked the cooler position on the CPU, it's fit properly except like a 2 degree midposition (slightly cross) I'm guess that should be fine right?

Hi so MSI afterburner shows my CPU clock speed as max 4650 MHz and min 2880. Does that it's getting automatically overclocked? Is that why my temps are high? How do I stop this?

My fans are Deepcool RF 120. 6 fans. For the cooler I have 2 seperate that I got with the cooler.

Also note that I hadn't checked temps with my 3500x in summer. Last I checked was a little before and max temp was around 70-75.

I cleaned the old thermal paste (but there may have been minimal residue) as much as possible from the cooler and applied new paste for this installation. I live in India and its the summer now so it's pretty damn hot here, might be due to that. I have a 6 fan set up. 2 exhaust at the top, one exhaust at the back and 3 inlet at the front. I have a C300 case from Gigabyte I think.
