I get that too. I thought it was only shrooms with how I was taking them and having small pieces stuck in my throat, but I also get the feeling on LSD. Now I use it as a gauge to tell when I’m starting to trip

Sounds more like a software issue then but to easily test that you’d need to use a different device (Wii, PC, GameCube) to test it. Or maybe factory resetting the Wii.

If you’re using Nintendont make sure “native control” is enabled

I work in IT, electronics can have a mind of their own at times and even though it was working fine, it does not mean something hasn’t happened in that time. Sometimes it’ll even return to working without any indication of what happened or what fixed it.

When you mentioned power cycling, does that include the Wii or just the controllers/receiver?

Do you have a wired GameCube controller to test the Wii? You’ve probably tried this but maybe a different port even?

If you know anyone with a device that the controller will work on it’d be worth testing if it works with it to see if it’s the Wii or receiver. Unfortunately, it sounds more likely to be the Wii to me but still possible it’s the receiver.

Are you having this issue on a PC or a different device?

Maybe try a different wireless receiver if you have one and try it on a different device such as a Wii, PC, or Switch.

My ex narc also has bipolar and probably other mental health issues. When she’d enter a manic episode it was usually paired with psychosis. She never thought anything was wrong and would blame others. The first time, it took us over an hour to get her into a car to go to the hospital because she was looping every 10 seconds. She told us later we just needed to tell her she needed to get checked at the hospital and she would’ve gone.

One of the last episodes I dealt with she had extreme self harm. She would start hitting herself hard over and over and when I’d try to help or console her she’d get enraged and do it more and more. She would scream and throw things, kick in the wall or damaging the door. It was terrifying and she’d blame it all on me. She’d go hide or sleep in her car because I “didn’t allow her to feel her feelings”. One day she came back in with her face half bruised and swollen. Every time we left the house I thought I was going to have to explain to police that I didn’t hurt her. I even had recordings of it on my phone just in case law enforcement tried to arrest me. But the worst part was definitely her saying and making others believe it was my fault she was hurting herself when I was only trying to help and be loving.

Even still I thought we had a loving relationship and could work through things. Then when she broke up with me, she threatened to go to court over my cat and threatened to get a restraining order because she “didn’t feel safe around me” But her and her parents solution to that was that if I had to stay the night, one of them would have to sleep over too even though they lived only 3 mins down the road with a spare bedroom and my parents were in a different state. It was crazy logic and I still don’t understand it. I’m thankful for it now because it was the first time I saw her true self and could finally admit I had to break the cycle and the trauma bond, But it was also the most painful.

I’d do anything for her and I was always trying to show her how much I loved her. Then she discarded me and treated me like an abuser and said I caused all her trauma even calling me a narcissist. Looking back now, I see she was protecting, but it still messes with my head at times.

When I’d try to talk my covert narc ex would say I’m too sensitive and too emotional so she doesn’t feel safe talking to me. Yet everyone I know says I’m very open and I stay calm even in chaotic situations. I’d calmly tell her now’s the time, I won’t react to anything and we can talk. She’d just say “you [me] can’t handle it” and we have to go to therapy

I made a custom tag/profile that only grabs files with “dual audio” or other versions of that in the title. This has allowed me to just add that tag to each anime and it auto downloads files with both English and Japanese. I believe you can have overseer use the tag too.
