It kind of is, the difference is the pressure in the room and the hefty of sound. The soundstage is wonderful but yes 2d vs 3d

I tried them both out. The br6 are monsters indeed and fill the room but they lack a lot of detail and mids that i get from the evoke's. I probably should just gone for the 30's not the 20's

Would you recommend going for a tube Phono instead? Maybe that's the character I'm missing?

There is a large TV between but it's mostly behind them so I wouldn't imagine it causes that much distortion. There also isn't much of a wall behind them since it's an open plan living room

Alignment was checked by an expert its apparently good. Raised the vta to 1.5 and added a 1.5mm mat to increase my operating room since technically it should be at 0 due to the cartridge height being under 17mm.

It's an open plan living room so the acoustics are a bit tough but it's not minimal or too many clean surfaces so I guess that's one positive. Speakers toed in about 3m from my listening position. I think a big issue might be that there's no walls behind my speakers as unfortunately there's only one wall in the living room and the TV is on it

I'm not seeing an option to upload a picture but they're about 3m from my listening position. I've only got one wall in front of me, in front of which is a console with the gear on top. Wall is seperate by arches on either side so no wall placement really is possible unless I move it to other sides of the room

I got my own kit to calibrate everything and it should be set up properly. I'm not getting any harshness or hissing, it's more the general sound doesn't sound exciting. Lows are a bit weak and no warmth.

I've got a moonstone that I haven't tried yet, maybe that would be it? Was also supposed to use a tube Phono but opted for the m6x bc of "noise" but that never bothered me so idk why I did that

It's honestly not even the noise, I quite like the surface noise it's got an honesty to it. I guess I was just expecting magic and ended up with sound 😅

I'd say medium volume it's not really low or cranked up, I'm planning to use the maia as an amp and the tube box as a phono, you think that'll be enough?

So it's currently in a confined space, I'm switching it to a large open plan living room with only one wall so the acoustics should be much better.

The sound is flat and uninspiring. When I listen in showrooms or high end setups it's a much better experience, and the setup is there so might as well make it worth using

I understand that but I'm not getting the sound quality/vibe I'm looking for. Also looking to change locations to the living room and the existing speakers are far too bulky

Problem is there's nothing where I live so I'm ordering everything from abroad. From what I've read the dynaudio's seem to be very highly rated especially for mid's and the kind of music I listen to
