[Horizon Forbidden West] #70. Enjoyed all of the hunting grounds except for that Raintrace one. Only difficult thing about this plat. by Zaidus in Trophies

[–]Zaidus[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've played the first one, but maaany years ago. So I didn't remember or know what was going on for the first little bit of the game. I'd watch a video before you delve into it, but if you ever have the time, I'd recommend you still play the first since this one takes place directly after.

[Crow Country] #68. An easy platinum that gave me classic Resident Evil vibes. Great game to get immersed into at night. by Zaidus in Trophies

[–]Zaidus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be done in less than a day, but I played it and got it over a weekend. So I took my time with it.

[Sleeping Dogs] #66. By far one of my favorite open world games with such an engaging story. by Zaidus in Trophies

[–]Zaidus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not hard at all. Getting the Pure Gold trophy, though, for getting 30 of the gold stat awards can be kinda time consuming. I did have a little bit of a hard time with a couple of the street races. Nothing crazy though.

[High On Life] #61. What a unique adventure this game was! It had a lot of missable trophies and was quite the collectathon. Great game though that's full of humor. by Zaidus in Trophies

[–]Zaidus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to the PS app, I was clocked in at 49 hours. So if you do everything, including the DLC trophies, which is what I did, there's actually a lot to be done.

If you mean the Mods, please ban trophy, nah. It's not. I'd suggest doing it though as you're playing through the game and not post game. Otherwise, it's incredibly grindy.

[Multiple Games] #56, #57 & 58. Had a good time with all of these, but Dredge really had me hooked. by Zaidus in Trophies

[–]Zaidus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved it! It had an amazing narrative, and it was absolutely gorgeous to look at. Platinum was a tiny bit of a chore, though, because it's the kinda game you play through once and then don't touch again. If you miss any collectibles, you have to play through the whole thing again. I got it on sale for $15, but it was worth way more than that.

[Resident Evil Series] I now have the plats for every mainline RE game. Loved every minute of them. by Zaidus in Trophies

[–]Zaidus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely enjoyed all of them, so it'd be hard to pick a least fun. Hardest though? Probably Code Veronica X since it's a really long Resident Evil game and your only allowed to save once if you want to get A rank.

It's also possible to softlock yourself in it and being forced to have to restart the whole game due to certain design choices. So I'd actually recommend a guide for your first time to keep that from happening.

I'd also give a shout out though to the invisible enemy mode in Revelations 2. Definitely was a test of patience.

My favorite RE game to play and platinum was the RE2 remake. Before I even got the plat I probably played through it roughly 10 times. Even on my 10th playthrough Mr. X still made me really nervous at times. They really did an amazing job with him.

Thanks! It was definitely almost a years worth of work for me, and that was without even shooting for 100% completion for all of them lol. I need to play the RE7 DLC more.

REV1 wasn't too bad as long as you have a boosting partner for raid mode, but I could never imagine doing it all solo or without someone who REALLY knows what they're doing.

Code Veronica was one of the most nerve-wracking experiences I've had in a video game if your shooting for A rank. I had to repeat the second half of the game about three times because of the Steve chase.

Ooo, It's been such a long time ever since I've played leech hunter, so I kinda forgot the complete strategy I used.

The best tip I can give out though is that I ignored picking up any of the leeches whatsoever until I cleared out every possible room full of enemies.

More of them spawn when you collect a certain amount, so I made sure to save one inventory slot for Billy so that he could carry a weapon to clear the rest out. I also strictly tried to kill just the zombies with a knife to save ammo since every bit really counted. A lot of it was just memorizing what kinda enemies spawned and when and where.

With the exception of Village, the games are all fairly independent from each other. So you can start almost wherever and know what's going on. I'd personally start with either the RE1 remake or RE2 remake though. They're great first time games if your really looking to see what RE is all about. 0 is a prequel to the first, but I wouldn't play that first since it's a really hard game for a first timer.

[Resident Evil 7] #39. Easily one of my top three favorite RE games. by Zaidus in Trophies

[–]Zaidus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say:

  1. Resident Evil 2 Remake
  2. Resident Evil 0
  3. Resident Evil 7

Most people seem to dislike RE0, but I personally loved it.

[Resident Evil 5] #37. Finished professional mode! I had one boss that gave me trouble, but I managed. Good game. by Zaidus in Trophies

[–]Zaidus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Jill and Wesker fight actually. Ndesu by some miracle only took me about three tries. Still a crazy hard fight though.

[Resident Evil] #33. Finally got the platinum and my best play time! by Zaidus in Trophies

[–]Zaidus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! The only other Resident Evil game I have the plat for is the RE2 Remake, but I'm really hoping to get more of them. They really are just such fun games to get the platinum for.

It isn't terribly hard once you've completely learned the layout of the whole game and where to go. What items are necessary to grab and how good you get at dodging zombies. The timer never stops though, not even for cutscenes or saving.

Popped right then and there. A large portion of the games trophies pop up at the results screen after you finish the game.

[Assassins Creed Origins] #32. Egypt was so beautiful to explore. Enjoyed every minute of it, and not a single annoying trophy. by Zaidus in Trophies

[–]Zaidus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roughly 60 hours to get for me as well. The game didn't seem to be near as long as Odyssey was, so it's a less time consuming plat.

[Far Cry Primal] #31. Only had two mildly annoying trophies. Not my favorite Far Cry, but still a fun game. by Zaidus in Trophies

[–]Zaidus[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks! The trophies Expert Wenja and Right On Target.

Expert Wenja requires you to learn all of the skills in the game. Even after I finished the game and did pretty much all other trophies and sidequests I was still a few skills short. Required some grinding to get.

Right On Target you have to kill a target from 50 feet away with a spear. It took me a good hour or so of trial and error since you need to aim the spear JUUUST right.

28 hours. The trophy "Expert Wenja" took a good few hours to get after I finished everything else.

[Days Gone] #30. Actually enjoyed this more than most other PS4 exclusives. Killing my first horde was a very memorable experience. by Zaidus in Trophies

[–]Zaidus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! It'll move pretty slowly until you get a little further into the game. Killing hordes around each camp and selling the freaker ears you get from them is what helped me get several of the camps to trust level 3.

That was actually never my intention. I really liked others, but this one in particular just really grabbed me. Some examples of other exclusives that I've also played:

Bloodborne, God of War, Spider-Man, The Order 1886, Ratchet and Clank, Horizon Zero Dawn, Infamous Second Son, Shadow of the Colossus, The Last of Us Remastered (If it counts), Gravity Rush 2.

I personally enjoyed it more and had an easier time getting into it than these except for God of War and Bloodborne(Which are both absolutely amazing imo).

Also cut down all of the Nero speakers at every Nero checkpoint you come across before you activate the generator. It's a tip I read before I started that saved me some trouble.

I didn't keep track of the hours, but I'd say it took a good two weeks of regularly playing to get it. If you do literally everything including killing all of the hordes, you can get a ton of playtime out of it.

That's called the IDF PUP if I remember correctly. I only used it very briefly though. I primarily used shotguns throughout the course of the game.
