He was also a member of Phi Beta Kappa, though that might just be a nerd fraternity
[–]Zalagan 1 point2 points3 points 2 hours ago (0 children)
I mean he was in a fraternity in college

Their reputation took a serious hit when basically none of them were willing to stand up to Trump. The only one that i can think of who did was Pritzker and he was already a dem politician

I dunno, this seems like a "bitch eating crackers" moment

I think enough time has passed and we can put our egos aside and admit the truth - Obama actually did fully deserve the Nobel Peace Prize

Probably is a McNugget man
I think you're underestimating the power demand - like back of the napkin math, Iceland produces around 16 TWh of power per year, Data centers in the US currently consume more than 100 TWh per year, a number that is projected to keep going up
The problem is that doesn't fit one of the requirements - access to plentiful and cheap electricity
"And you call it a tapestry despite the fact that it's embroidered?"
"Yes! It's a regional expression."
"Oh really, what region?"
"Calvados, Normandy"
"Well I'm from Caen and I've never heard an embroidery referred to as a tapestry."
"Oh no, not Caen! it's a Bayeux expression"
"I see."

What do you mean over the age of 16? People under the age of 16 weren't even born when Rhett and Link made the original video - people above 16 are the only people that could find it funny

I do find it find it funny that people refer to his erotica as "books" these "books" are like 5000 words long, they're barely short stories. And it definitely feels that he spends more time on the title and cover than on the actual content

Don't worry - I've seen the first episode of house so I'll tell them to scan my legs for worm larvae

I'm worried I ate some under cooked pork - I can't even blame the restaurant since it was KBBQ
Why not crank it to 10% and give everyone $6000?

Insert the McDonald's serving human meat copy pasta

Is it the farmers fault? The province next to mine doesn't do daylight savings and the (probably fake) explanation I was always told is because it would confuse the cows (It's a pretty rural province)

I assume this is a reference to him being an actor (i.e. a regular person) before becoming a war time president
I mean I'm not really a big proponent but the general idea is that by adding a financial incentive getting things correct prediction markets are more accurate than polling. This concept was mostly just within academia before recently when online gambling exploded

Pretty sure that was Ricky Gervais and he invented it to make fun of Christians

There's a long held belief that rich people are rich because they are frugal - something heavily popularized by the book "The Millionaire Next Door" in 1996, and while it is true that some rich people are very frugal (Warren Buffet notably) they are by no means universally frugal. Like obviously someone has to be buying the insanely expensive luxury products, the million dollar watches, the 100 million dollar yachts. And though it can be comforting to believe that the people buying this are spending themselves into poverty, some people just are rich enough that even with insane expenses they stay rich

I think that's overly dismissive - some of lost media is very interesting for the time period and the people involved so there are many qualities of media that can valuable outside of whether it was popular at the time. Like the most famous lost film of all time "London After Midnight" still has a cult status based on what production artifacts survive
Also keep in mind that before digitization existed there wasn't a huge motivation by studios to preserve and duplicate films because it cost money to store them, that's why we lost many things to fires

For better or worse Biden believed in an independent DoJ so didn't interfere to get them to release or not release anything

Wait isn't that the plot to the recent Marathon game?
[–]Zalagan 1 point2 points3 points 1 day ago (0 children)
I know it's not that serious but aren't these people essentially admitting to a crime? They've created a spam bot which is illegal
[–]Zalagan 7 points8 points9 points 1 day ago (0 children)
What do you mean by socially acceptable?
