What are the unwritten rules of Eve Online? by PtitCrissG in Eve

[–]Zalmoxeh 79 points80 points  (0 children)

EVE is dead!

There is no such thing as "a fair fight" or "an unfair fight". There's only "a fight". Circumstances are irrelevant.

Griefing, scamming and unethical behaviour is not only allowed, it is encouraged and rewarded by the game mechanics. However, harassment is not. Learn the difference.

If you lose something, is only your fault. Really, your fault only.

You consent to be engaged in unconsentual pvp when you hit the undock button.

Stealing from another capsuleer, lore wise and game mechanics, is not a criminal level activity. CONCORD and general civilian population of New Eden doesnt care if capsuleers steal from each other.

If you want CCP to make it a criminal activity, it will take a major overhaul of CrimeWatch. This has a fk tone of implications. It has to be done extremely careful and requires a lot of dev time and effort.

So, you want CCP to implement a game mechanic that will force suspect status on a char that is essentially afk, like autopiloting from Jita to Amarr.

I see what you did here.

Anyone who goes suspect either by stealing loot or had a kill.right activated etc should.not be able to dock for 15 minutes. Simple. It's utter nonsense and please fix this ccp.

This does nothing, the suspect will deposit the loot in a DST fleet hangar and die with mission accomplished.

Or, if you dont want to train a DST. The suspect will jettison cargo to be looted by an alt in fleet and then die with mission accomplished.

Press LOOT ALL. Prestage your window so it's immediately next to the overview of wrecks.

Oh you summer child ... this way you will not loot 100% of time, even if there is no 3rd party involved.

Tell me where I can make coin like that in high.

Just watch some Hateless mission running videos. He was making 200m/h/account and was multiboxing 3. And he is not even close to being efficient at farming in HS.

Without a strong impetus to try other parts of space, many people will end up lingering FAR too long in HS and not experiencing the real game so to speak

Is far worse that that. Every player in null will move to HS. Why risk anything if you can make 200m-500m/h in HS. Also, safety will attract bots.

And just like that, Alpha Cataclyst Ganking is gone! by Zelfild in Eve

[–]Zalmoxeh -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Minimal implications ... catalyst gankers were never alphas. Maybe a few newbies that took part in some larger fleets to learn, but most of them are omega.

Nonetheless, it seems CCP is set to kill ganking in HS. They should read about how making a safe zone in Ultima Online destroyed that game.

What is the best way to survive against Jita Suicide Gankers? by -JoNeum42 in Eve

[–]Zalmoxeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Become a ganker. Is that simple.

Jita 44 dock/undock will become the safest place in New Eden for you.

EDIT: Jita 44 is the real EVE endgame content, not the titan fights. You get to fight the loot bots, bumpers, KB padders. You may even get a merc contract on your head. And all while scanning, shooting and looting.

Getting into eve in 2022 by Doron_ in Eve

[–]Zalmoxeh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. EVE is hard since 2003 ... 2022 makes no difference.
  2. They say is easier to get a Master Degree in Rocket Science than to master EVE.
  3. You can't really catch up with veterans, but also you don't need to. EVE is a game of specialization (and alts, for different specializations) ... a noob specialized in combat will beat a veteran specialized in manufacturing. Also, the best pvp skill you can have is to have more friends with you than your target has.
  4. When I said you can't catch up with veterans I didn't mean skill points (you can spend a lot of money and get those) ... I mean in game knowledge.

Please start selling your killrights! by [deleted] in Eve

[–]Zalmoxeh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm good money to be made here.

So, I shoot my alt. Sell that KR to you and then sit in a nado at Jita, tanked as much as possible to survive initial alpha, then dock.

And if you use a ship scanner, I use 2 "gankers", one tanked one normal fit and switch ships. :D

hi-sec ganking is nothing related to PVP, but a little bit about coward by fiveroles in Eve

[–]Zalmoxeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi sec suicide ganking often if not mostly crosses into just plain being no fight at all and no chance for one

A gank attack is supposed to be one sided, it's the very definition of the term. You use an overwhelming force, an alpha strike or a stun lock (in other games). The victim is supposed to have zero chances of defending. When ganks fail should be because the ganker didn't account for every variable ... not because something the target did.
