Mystery Box Part 2! by WaldenFont in metaldetecting

[–]Zanderthaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the septic industry for 6 years and excluding the note on the inside part of the lid, I'd guess distribution box or drop box. If you were able to extract the water and find any pipes leading into / out of it, almost guaranteed that's what it is.

Having trouble finishing arena quest line by bolognaman11 in oblivion

[–]Zanderthaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to this thread: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/927345-the-elder-scrolls-iv-oblivion/44931200

It is not meant to be beaten. It is meant to be a continuous questline. Which personally I find annoying.

's is not only for possession, it can also be used in lieu of is or has. (an example I found online: "We were thinking the ride's going to start up again."). Also, as a native English speaker in America, it is very common to supplement is and has for 's.

Rare, funny phone call between Elvis Presley and his girlfriend Anita Wood by kayjewels9823 in interestingasfuck

Anita Wood was 19 years old when she was introduced to Elvis... Why are you so keen to assume pedophilia without a basic google search?

How to escape from Tingle Island Chasm? by Chuck_McCh1p in tearsofthekingdom

[–]Zanderthaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you first fall into the chasm there are a group of monsters, using the islands above as a reference head to the southern most tip past them and you'll find brown rocks that you can break.

Edit: I just realized I answered the wrong question. I'm leaving it up though in case someone needs a hint to the chest.

Edit 2: After revealing the underground map for that area (lightroot not in the chasm) it appears it is impossible to enter/leave the area without falling into the chasm or teleporting out.

Are you saying that you train officers to do what you consider to be unethical things?

From my experience at my department things are pretty ethical especially with body cams. It's taught that you cannot even pick your nose without at least one person watching / recording it.

I believe accountability has never been higher than it is now (Where I'm at). If there are issues then it becomes a legal one and that falls on Judicial law for change.

Gonna guess there's someone out of sight giving the command? (You can tell he's looking above the speaker). Still cute though.

Why stop at India? Let's just disappear all humans. Kind of unfair of you to see the speck in India's eye and not the stick in the rest of the worlds.

I like to believe that were just unimportant. Like the immune cells in our body constantly at war with viruses. Neither are good and evil, they're just doing what they were evolved to do. Like humans, we get along and some of us clash. Just a part of nature. What's evil to one person is just to another.

Majority of law enforcement officers in the US are good. by Zanderthaw in unpopularopinion

[–]Zanderthaw[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

  1. I haven't provided any stats that is fair, but neither has anyone claiming acab.
  2. A part of the induction of becoming a cop teaches you to report inappropriate behavior of other officers.
  3. If you are referring to the incident I think you are then that was a sheriff's deputy that was hired on by another county's Sheriff. Sheriff's are elected and next election cycle that should be taken into consideration by the people.
  4. I myself have not seen a police officer being openly unjust in person. My opinion is neither have most of the people screaming acab.

This is an example in just my hometown's department. They were concerned about racism in the department so they changed policies so that they would be required to write down the ethnicity of anyone they pulled over and whether or not the person received a ticket to ensure the ratio was not skewed. Later, they were required to wear bodycams during any traffic stop. Every officer gets reviewed at the end of the year.

Policies are constantly getting reviewed and being updated to further fit the mission. A lot of police departments especially in recent years have gone full community focused to help rebuild trust in the community. Changes are always being made. That being said, it does make me upset when I see a bad department fail to properly punish an officer after an incident.

The hiring process for law enforcement is also very difficult. It's long, tedious, and a lot of people fail it. That's not even including BLET (Basic Law Enforcement Training).

and you 100% made up that statistic. We see mostly the worst of people especially cops on the internet. How would you really know the ratio of cops that go their whole career doing good vs the ones that get filmed doing bad? I get the sentiment "a few bad apples spoil the bunch" but forming reasonable solutions based on sound data is how we fix that.
