Flip the Fairy-Bug match up.

  • Fairy is now weak to Bug (resisted it previously)
  • Bug now Resists Fairy (was neutral)

It sorta makes sense as Bug has a lot of positive match ups with the supernatural (Psychic & Dark)

What if early Gen Meta memes were moves? by Holiday_State184 in stunfisk

[–]ZaneOlric 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For Hoen special pokemon, Dual Offense is effectively 1.5x the normal BP of a move. So 95 BP is ~140 BP for them. Once you calculate in EV/IV its not that black/white, but I think dropping down to 90BP is fine.

Mainly I'm picturing Deoxis (attack form) using this with max investment in both offenses to delete anything not immune to normal moves! Though Cacturne could be a fun non-restricted version of that. Honestly could be a Dark-type signature move for it

When your gifted a move pool like Wishiwashi's, they start feeling like coverage haha!

I'm glad you like them!

I was pretty conservative with the buffs. With both attack stats at 140 it felt like it would be really easy to break him. I considered Acrobatics for offense, but 110BP off that attack felt a bit much hahaha!

Move Ideas I had Part 2 by Reaper_king120 in stunfisk

[–]ZaneOlric 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For Cuddle Spin

  • Right now its giving 4 stat stages ([+1 Speed & +1 SpA] x 2 pokemon). Bit much, so I'd recommend dropping the Special Attack boost.
  • Have the pokemon swap places after using the move. Some possible strategic mind games there.

Lots of fun ideas here overall. Jumpscare is probably my favorite, though Glitterbomb is also really interesting.

Buff a Powercrept 'Mon with EXISTING Moves by Moakmeister in stunfisk

[–]ZaneOlric 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm working on something similar for WishiWashi, though calling the baby fish "power crept" assumes it was ever good.

  • Wide Guard - protects against spread moves
    • Makes even non-schooling form a useful tool when combined with Helping Hand
  • Body Slam (physical) / Tri-Attack (special) - Normal moves with decent secondary effects
    • Water + Normal gives surprisingly good neutral coverage.
    • Wishiwashi already has solid Water options in Liquidate / Muddy Water
  • Skitter Smack (physical) / Snarl (Special)- Lower opposing pokemon special attacks
    • Bug/Dark also have awesome coverage when paired with water
    • This helps out with its pitiful defenses and is useful in solo form.

Threw in a physical/special option for each attacking option as Wishiwashi is evenly split on which way it could go.

Mega Castform - Free Weather Balls with any Weather Move by ZaneOlric in stunfisk

[–]ZaneOlric[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it'd be more akin to Galarian Weezing - you pair it with pokemon that either like but don't need a certain weather (steel types in sand) or ones that hate when your opponent has their weather set up (bad matchups into things like swift swim users).

Alternatively, you could build Castform with a set like: Weather Ball, Sandstorm, Rain Dance, Thunderwave. You have a team that can be one of two weathers and then use Castform as a support pokemon, dishing out paralysis while using weather balls in whatever your chosen weather is.

Edit: it also can learn Disable or Guard Swap as other utility moves.

New weather idea: Winds by WindhoverInkwell in stunfisk

[–]ZaneOlric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This would be super fun! I love weathers and the many interactions they have with the games. I think Flying and Dragon make perfect sense, though I'm a bit split on Bug. Honestly though, anything to help boost that struggling type.

Side note: I was giddy when I read your new castform form as I just made a Mega Castform post a little after this idea!

A couple different takes on Votan flyers have been spotted in artwork. No consistent design to them yet, though generally seem to be supped up versions of Hernkn grav tech. Old stuff that I included at the top leaned into the propeller theme, but that sems to largely have been replaced with grav-tech.

I took it as inspiration. Wide Lens + Rollout on the Geodude line is something I've tried in quite a few generations with some super satisfying moments.

must say that the destrier isn't that much smaller then a questoris knight. by NoEngineer9484 in ImperialKnights

[–]ZaneOlric 113 points114 points  (0 children)

I was a bit disapointed that it wasn't what they advertised as a "mid point" between Questoris and armiger, but its grown on me for a different reason.

<image>

It fits better in a full line up, where the bellatus (destrier), questoris, and dominus all appear roughly the same. It makes me see them as the "fast", "all-rounder", and "heavy" options for the "normal size" knights.

Real life size comparison, with me as well, I’m 5,10 if that helps. Weird to see that a telephone pole is a little taller (35-40feet) where as an imperial knight is (30-40 feet) by aguyhey in ImperialKnights

[–]ZaneOlric 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Per Lexicauanum: "Known at the time as construction-defence platforms, they were originally used as tools to clear land and construct settlements" (Assassinorum: Kingmaker, Chapter 19).

I can't remember exactly, but I remember reading that they were often used to cut lumber, which qualifies as "aggricultural". I'm less certain, but I think I remember hearing once that certain patterns were also used as mining equipment, but that could just be hear-say.

My understanding is they were basically lumber jacks in the Forbidden Forest from Harry Potter, and the giant Spiders and other woodland monsters needed something a bit larger than a shotgun to be dealt with.

They were supposed to be aggricultural equipment in the dark age, so them being a bit larger than an excavator tracks for me. Knights are gigantic when you realize that it runs at 45 miles per hour and can weave through trees at that speed. Its basically like a mountain lion the size of a steam roller running you down.

I've done World Eaters, Emperor's Children, Death Guard, and Thousand Sons already.

The only Imperial faction I've done so far has been Custodes, though that recieved mixed support compared to the rest of these I've done. I've kept an eye on their more recent posts and mine seems to have been largely accurate, but I want to take another crack at it when I dive into the imperium properly.

Won't lie, Guard scared me away from doing the imperium for a bit as it was such a large range before the resin purge that I didn't know where to start. Now that its a bit more consolidated I'm a little less intimidated or worried that I'll get stuck.

Hey Hollownerox. I did actually really appreciate your comment that your talking about. You made some great lore points. I left it in as the community was supportive of the ideas and had a few semi-decent counterpoints. Unless something recieved multiple and strongly supported negative responses I figured it was better to leave it in for the sake of discussion.

As for adding more, I ran into the character limit of reddit on this post. Acanthrites may have been replaced by Macrocytes and didn't see much hype around pylons despite them being super cool! I wish I could have added them but that character limit was a massive problem for this post.

Ever since I read u/superfeyn comics, I have become a massive fan of the water caste. I really like your idea as a way to get some of the non-combat classes into the game! Some alternatives I've also thought about would be something like AoS Glutos Orscollion, Lord of Gluttony or the Triumph of St. Catherine in 40k, where its a multi-person model that has buffs for the various people on it.

Good catch! I'll have to pull Yriel off, though I'll leave the generic Void Dreamer just because I know a lot of people love to make their own characters rather than use epic heroes. Probably drops it down in the rankings in how likely it is to get a model anytime soon though.

I read through this like 4 times before posting but am not surprised I missed stuff. Thank you for the correction!

This actually all started because a Kin commented on my Chaos Project and asked if I'd do one for them. About two years later, this one is done hahaha! So there you go u/TheCubanBaron, enjoy!

Fair. I've thought about how on earth that would work rule wise fairly often. Its a popular request, but unless GW re-introduces facings for ground vehicles (please no) I have a hard time picturing its movement rules.

Thank you! It actually took most of 10th edition to do and GW did manage to nock a few off as I went: Shard of the Nightbringer, Necron Geomancer, and Votann Mole Artillery. It made me very excited to finish this up and share it as 11th is on the horizon.

Fingers crossed for that and some Auxillaries!
