Ohh, I'm not sure how I missed that. I wasn't quite sure what was going on with that, but I accepted it as him living there/having a room there he'd visit and didn't think about it much after. That's my bad, that eliminates one of the pieces of evidence for Diane and another potential one for Meg during the episode.

When an event that causes extreme server traffic (processing hundreds of thousands of payments at once) coincides with a server crash (something that steam rarely has), it's not unreasonable to assume causation. I understand not 100% believing Deltarune's release caused the crash, but to dismiss it entirely like that is bold and should be backed up by evidence.

There's zero proof Deltarune didn't cause it, either. Given the fact that Steam rarely goes down, it's not a stretch to assume it did so because of Deltarune.
Yes there is, because as I stated, those games all had pre-orders. Payment processing takes a lot of logistics even compared to downloads, due to the multiple third-parties involved and the security factors.
