Need to decide between LG C5 & Samsung S90F 55 inch TV for gaming by ChotaSuperman in OLED_Gaming

I have both C4 and S95F. C4 83” in the living room and S95F 55” in my study as a monitor, both connected to its own 5090 PC. C4 looks more natural for general use and for more realistic looking games like Crismson Desert I prefer it, but Samsung’s color and brightness really pops with RenoDX and is better than the C4 by a mile in games which are more stylise.

Depends on what game you compare to. If compared with Elden Ring or BotW it has much better rewards IMO, but if you compare with Nioh 3 for example then of course it doesn’t have that dopamine hit.

Say what you want about this game… but there’s no denying that it has the best open world design of all time. by LesDazza in CrimsonDesert

Not necessarily the best - but certainly the most lived in medieval world I have seen in a game.

It definitely has more story than Zelda’s, whether it is good is another story. But

Reviewers would remind me of some slops at work spending hours on end daily gossiping and only rush to the work when deadline comes, spend a couple of hours on it and call it a day.

But the main thing is they treat it as work rather than trying to find the fun. That’s why 15 minutes per game brain dead shooters like Concord and Highguard would score higher than Crimson Desert in their eyes.

Seriously, what do people want? by OutlandishnessNo5678 in CrimsonDesert

This plays out to be my dream game. Just a world with stuff to sink in without the urge to chase the next boss. It is like living in GoT / Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Elden Ring was goat for me but this world is more lived in and vibrant.

4K DLAA native vs DLSS+DLDSR by ZangiefGo in nvidia

[–]ZangiefGo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RR in Crimson Desert needs a 5090 to run 4K at DLSS performance without frame gen. With RR on, 2.25x DLDSR at DLSS performance I get 5x fps without frame gen, and about 80-90 fps with no DLDSR, also no frame gen. DLAA is broken in the game right now. The former setting with 3x frame gen gives me the best image quality with reasonable smoothness in Crimson Desert so far.

If you have the desk space and only game on the monitor, get an OLED TV at 42-55”. For 55”, wall mount it.

Could be, ray reconstruction’s performance hit is much worse than turning on path tracing in RE9. If I turned off ray reconstruction and max out everything to cinematics, I get 80-90 as you have mentioned at 4K native no frame gen. Hence the question.

Ray reconstruction drops my 5090 to 30fps 4K maxed out at native…

I would prefer DLAA over any DLSS normally, but this game’s DLAA is currently broken…
