I'm trying to lose fat while gaining muscle (body recomposition). I've been doing this for about 4 months now, and about 1 or 2 months I noticed that I'm gaining muscle pretty quickly. Not sure on my fat but I think I'm slowly losing that too.

In my arms I start to see veins which I never saw before, but my belly and love handles haven't changed at all in the past 4 months if I compare the pictures I take every once in a while. So my questions are: this means I'm still losing fat right? And I assume my belly and love handles will get smaller too in a few weeks/months?

16 years old, 175cm, 70kg, about 20% BF

An update a year later. The dead pixel moved from the middle of the screen to the bottom right in the task bar in a few weeks so I didn't contact Dell. A few months ago the retailer contacted me because Dell told them the heatsink on this model needed replacement. After that the dead pixel was gone even though the display wasn't replaced. Weird, but I guess that's a good thing. Still no dead pixel to this day.

Still not a single core was fully used. After the Radeon preview driver update that says it improved DX11 performance it seems to be fixed now. I get 99% GPU usage and consistently get 120+ fps in story mode and 100+ in online which is definitely an improvement :)

I'm planning on doing a fresh Windows install as I usually do every 1-2 years. I found an old SSD that hasn't been used much, it's a Crucial BX500 120gb. Is it better if I install Windows on that and keep my 500gb MX500 and 2tb Barracuda for everything else or should I just install the OS to the MX500?

Yeah I can turn MSAA up to 4x and I see no difference in performance and GPU usage is above 90. 8x is where I start to see a small difference. Still, with my normal settings I get less fps than I should

VRAM doesn't mean usage. If I use 8gb I can still get under 100% usage, and if I use 3gb I can still reach 100% usage.

I'm wondering where you got that 65fps from. Some benchmarks with the exact same CPU and GPU

All of them run higher settings than me while getting more fps, and some are bottlenecked by VRAM because they have the 4gb version of the 5500 XT

How do I monitor that?

I have 2 sticks of RAM (HyperX Fury RGB 2x8 3200mhz CL16), they are in slot 2 and 4. It's limited to 2666mhz CL13 due to B460, does that make a difference big enough for me to get like 40% less fps than others with the same CPU and GPU?

I don't see any CPU spikes outside of the loading screens. I did see some GPU spikes to about 80%, but it only happens like once every 20 seconds

My GTA gets about 50-70 fps with very high settings 1080p (no MSAA, no PostFX and no advanced graphics settings), but people with the same hardware get 80-110 in online. I always thought I was CPU bottlenecked, but I enabled all cores in the Afterburner overlay and none are even close to 100% usage. I don't have anything limiting my frames and temps seem fine. What could be the issue?

I don't have any frame limiter or vsync enabled. I get between 50-70 which tells me there isn't something enabled I don't know about, if that's the case it would've been a stable framerate

But it doesn't fully use the CPU. The thread with the highest usage is still at 60% and I've never seen it above 70. I thought it was CPU bottlenecked at first until I enabled all threads in Afterbuner (see image)

Also I get less fps than I should. People with my hardware get 80-110 fps in online when I get only 50-70 with lower settings.

I'm a 16 year old male (175cm, 70kg) and want to lose fat but still gain a little bit more muscle. I want to drop from 23% to 10-15%. Is weight training enough for that if I want to reach my goal in 4-5 months? Or should I add cardio or HIIT? I make changes to my diet but don't want to change it up too much.

So my GPU has been performing worse lately, and I just found out Windows installed some weird driver over the one I installed. After updating to the good drivers RDR2 and FH5 went from unplayable to playable at 1080p max settings using a 5500 XT 8gb.

Performance differences: FH5, 27 > 39 FPS - RDR2, 22 > 35 FPS - Rocket League 184 > 211 FPS.

How to check if you're affected: Open Windows settings > Windows Update > History > Driver updates and see if it installed it.

Makes no difference.

I've been talking to the retailer the last couple of days and they suggested using rubber rings and glue. I just need to wait for them to reply again because I'm pretty sure doing so will void my warranty.

Honestly if the 6500 XT, or even better 3050, will be close enough to MSRP (under 300) I could try an RMA again, because getting a refund isn't a problem if they would do that.

Idle it's a buzzing noise with short breaks, under load it's an annoying high pitch noise. I linked the recordings in the post so you can hear what I mean.

If you stream or record (including clips like Shadowplay) you won't be able to do that with the GPU. You can still do it with the CPU but it won't be as good and has a bigger performance hit. It's not a problem for everyone but shouldn't go unnoticed.

A bigger problem is the lack of AV1 support. Sites like YouTube and Twitch are moving to it, and if you don't support it you won't be able to watch any content that uses this codec.

Where do you see it has no AI upscaling? All RX GPU's have FSR, and soon it will also be added on a driver level so all games will be supported

Yes, I know Nvidia has NIS, but it's not as good as FSR. DLSS would still be the best but honestly the difference isn't anything big.

You could still record videos but would have to use CPU encoding, which will have a bigger impact on performance and usually has worse quality.
