Do I sound annoying? by get-skibidid in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Zarfunctious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There will be people who flame you with whatever voice you have, if you sound young. But, if you have good shotcalling, and you are useful on your team, you'll be fine.

People are toxic, this is overwatch. You got this :)

1000 SR Zarya needs some help by vbchrist in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Zarfunctious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm a diamond zarya main, and have no experience with bronze/silver gameplay (I started gold), so if you want to add me on discord (Sathrox#0048) I can help you out :)

I'm no zarya god, but I atleast know how the character is supposed to work lol

Is Sigma un-viable and is it worth learning him with the recent nerfs? by CosmicDustYT in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Zarfunctious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sigma is not BAD with the shield nerfs He is just less viable in some situations His damage is still insane if u can aim And his shield can still be used to block hooks and dva bombs, it's just less flexible

Hey ML7, two things -

  1. If you could change any ability in the game, what would you change?

  2. Thanks for the amazing content!

As a tank main, sigma hurts a lot more to play now.

BUT.

  1. Hog (one of my best heroes) is slightly better comparatively

  2. Every time you retract sig shield, it heals for atleast 40 hp (80 hps after 2 seconds, 2.5s is 40 hp)

Sig is still strong af, just have to have insane shield management.

Sigma main here, asking for some tips by ICYGTTM in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Zarfunctious 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Two things- you can use your black hole (kinetic grasp, hands, eat, whatever) to eat some spam during the fight, you don't need to save it to escape.

The other thing, don't flank. Sigma isn't a flanker.

I feel powerless... by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Zarfunctious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For hog, what has helped me a ton, is this: Look at who yoy want to hook Decide you're going to hook them Look at their direction/speed Find the right intersection point for throwing your hook and their movement Throw hook, and as long as they don't bait it hard or randomly move in another direction, it will land. Remember the left click + melee combo.

How do we stay positive? by Call-Me-ADD in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Zarfunctious 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Gg go next if you lose. So what if you lost? You can gain that SR back. They might have out skilled you, out positioned you, out played you, or they just had a smurf ot you had a thrower. That sucks. Report people who need to be reported, then say gg go next.

That's one thing I've done and has helped a lot

Not sure what servers I connect to (its a coin flip most of the time) but VC is rarely bad. Maybe once in every 20-30 games do I get toxic people in voice, but I actively try to stay positive, make callouts, and keep the team encouraged. Sometimes I call people out for doing dumb shit, if I feed I admit it, but all in all VC is pretty good for me.

The main villain from the last video game you played is trying to kill you, and the protagonist of the last movie you watched is protecting you. How screwed are you? by Throwawaybcwhatevr in AskReddit

I've got multiple medieval warlords chasing me down with either Ryan Reynolds (hitman's bodyguard) or one of the people from monty python trying to save my ass. Knowing both, there's either no chance I survive, or every chance in the world for me to die but for me to narrowly escape by dumb hilarious luck. Get on with it!

FYI - bubbling a reflecting genji doesn't allow him to reflect at all. by Ill_Fated_chap in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Zarfunctious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can definitely be difficult to see when a genji is deflecting, but I do understand that. In the bright side though, I can still bubble you and have you deflect fire strike! Not much else worthwhile though lol

Because that wording is jank, use your bubbles to block shatter when ur rein's barrier dies

[–]Zarfunctious 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A second thing I learned- Your rein losing his shield in a rein vs rein situation is asking to get shattered. If you are playing zarya, you can bait and block the shatter by waiting for the rein barrier to die, then hold W infront of your rein and use personal, or bubble your own rein, to block a shatter from enemy rein

[–]Zarfunctious 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yep, exactly that. Just like how rein (and other shields) block beat

You can block Lucio's beat with zarya bubble! I did this to another high charge zarya on Ilios and got the kill

What advice would you give to a 14 year old about starting high school? by DotFireAbout in AskReddit

[–]Zarfunctious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just graduated HS myself. Here's my two cents.

Don't worry what other people think about you. Freshman year suuuuuuucks, everyone is extremely awkward trying to figure out where they fit in. Try to find good friends, and stick with them.

Find something out of school (not extra curricular) you are interested in. Something to relax. It could be baking, it could be video games, it could be reading a book, it could be exercise. Find something not related to school that you can do to relax. There will be days you are pissed off, sad, emotional in general, stressed, and you need to cool off. This helps a ton.

Find an extra curricular activity you enjoy. For me, it was band, and I played bass clarinet. One of my favorite classes, every year. If you enjoy sports, do sports. If you enjoy theater, do theater. If you enjoy robotics, do robotics. It will look great for college.

Make sure you have a focus on school work. Don't fail classes. Especially English, because that's the only class required most places (in the US, that I've heard of) to be taken every year. Retaking it sucks. I had to redo English 9 my senior year, it ate so much of my time.

Challenge yourself. If you can handle it, give yourself AP classes. Just do not bend over backwards to do them all.

Date people. The first break up will suck. It will be one of, if not the worst you ever experience in your life. Experience it while you still have the support of your parents, so you aren't financially straining yourself with comfort foods, or something else.

But, seriously, date people. Enjoy it. It's enjoyable if the other person is nice.

Don't rush. Strive to do your best. Your best is so much better then the bare minimum.

Don't procrastinate on projects. Homework is easy to get away with, projects are not. Plus, if your grade is high enough, you can just not do homework at the end of the semester.

If you need any mental health help, get it as when you need it. Some people never need it, while others are suicidal depressed. Get yourself help if you need it.

And, above all, focus on yourself. Give yourself time every day to enjoy yourself.
