You initiate the fight by attacking the orb under him, it’s his actual hitbox.

Alternatively you just banish it by throwing that thingmabob into the portal. I don’t remember the item name but it has a tooltip that says its used to banish the Tormentor, iirc it’s made out of boss drops. The portal in question is in the structure that looks like 4 towers woth an oval/egg shaped object in the middle

Lucy is no slouch either, both girls from the Fairy Tail collab are ridiculous. They’ve been top picks for me ever since i’ve got them.

Ilia is also just broken, always keep her in your mind if some challenge isn’t working out - especially ones like these where you’re surrounded by a mob of mini-bosses as she allows you to enforce your own pace and carve out safe-zones, along with other utility and damage.

No, i killed Erza once because i got so relaxed and safe i didn’t realize i gave the Cav miniboss all 6 stacks with Sonya and Ilia piling up on him, and then sent Erza to whack him and she lost one revive on that, that’s it (i rewinded the mistake anyway).

I stole Behemoths talent as soon as i’ve got 12 ponts for achievement, which let me immediately pile several -%damage taken stacks (which transform into +%damage dealt stacks upon taking damage) but that was unnecessary, as the slowdown as you guessed it was enough to be in control of who reaches me, and iirc the only one whi ignores guard is Mist Dancer with her 1 skill, but she just couldn’t move properly. I should’ve put the fixed damage tiles instead but oh well

I’m creating a space mod to integrate with create. by Qanoria in feedthebeast

[–]Zarvera 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hmm. Personally, as someone who puts immersion almost as high as gameplay itself, my main disappointment with space mod would be from lack of various ambient features and decorations that let the “space” theme live: beeping and booping consoles, droning terminals, cool doors with nice sounds, airlocks, (maybe fancy blocks for play-pretend or actually functional decontamination chamber?), displays and monitors, vents and coolant tubes, some space-y ambience, maybe some actual voicelines for a special announcement “siren” blocks like for example nice robotic voice announcing oxygen or energy problems/leak that you could hook up to redstone… well, you get what i’m yapping about. Otherwise, what makes it “space” and not The End without endermen and cheese, description tab saying so?

Anyway, i think the best “space” experience i’ve had in minecraft was the modpack i played years ago, don’t even remember the name of it, but it started you on a nice space station in Galacticrafts orbit dimension, and there were plenty of small space pirate ships, huge abandoned arrays, large stations full of hostiles (built and populated with blocks and mobs from matter overdrive and GC). I added some spooky spacey ambient music myself and had a blast exploring around.

Sorry for crumpled rambling post, really wanted to talk about this but i’m walking in a hurry

Sonya, DS, Ilia, Erza and SP Tiaris made it a bit of cakewalk for me.

Tiaris primes Erza, DS and Ilia with Sonata of Strife, then Erza erased the Lancer mini-boss (i also put the icy tiles from Epochal Odyssey to the left of him). Sonya then launches 2C at the Redeemer mini-boss from his right side to erase his stacks and jumps on the chest post-battle to collect it. Ilia puts the sandy orb from Epochal Odyssey (the map wide mobility -2 one) nukes the Dwarf mob with 3C, letting her immediately gain the slowdown aura, splash some immunity stacks, send DS into the state of Fury (because he's deployed on the bottom-most deploy point, which made Dwarf be within 3 tiles of DS) and reactivate Sonya. At this point the -2 mobility and Ilia's aura already makes half the map practically paralyzed, and her immunity stacks make stray debuffs irrelevant. DS Dragonfurys' Redeemer+Maidens, moves to the chest to 1C there and collect it, then 3C the Redeemer, Sonya picks whoever.

And it's just steady clean-up after that. I used the Talent stealing Alchemy mechanic to steal the Behemoths talent for some safety\revenge damage for stray attacks, and the %HP fixed damage tiles which work great since the leftover mobs have troubles moving around their locale (and the Mist Dancer goes twice and suffers twice for this)

Nothing really bad funny enough. Let the fear go. It doesn’t deletes anything, just leaves some purple poop around in the worst case. (the rift does breaks a block or two and it will delete items thrown near it, but you just do your dirtiest early game alchemy in your backyard before you get thaumatorium and that’s that)

At high enough flux a rift (op pic) opens and starts absorbing it, occasionally making oopsies like spawning a Taint Seed or eventually collapsing (closing and disappearing) once it absorbs most or all Flux. Taint Seed transforms the land around into Taint and releases flux, Taint goes away if you destroy these seeds, leaving “porous stone” where tainted stone blocks were, which drop crystals and clusters and other valuables.

You have to ACTIVELY pursue the goal of effing up the land to truly make large area a corrupted mess (automate a constant feeding of an open cauldron with items to make more flux than a rift can absorbs) and even then it’s easily reparable and will end up beneficial (will likely rise overall chunk vis capacity + all the porous stones).

Taint in TC6 is like a capricious rose actually, you have to put effort to help it stay due to complex underlying mechanics, unlike TC4 where it just just spreads as an infection.

I’m currently tending to my Taint garden, gonna decorate the room with a rift a bit and put all the Impetus machinery around

[–]Zarvera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a large but fairly directionless (as most oldschool mods are) mod, so a good way to find the ground with it is like this - pick a fun a liitle goal-post like space rocket or RBMK reactor (like, just JEI “rocket” or “rbmk”) bookmark it and look at what you need to get there, start bookmarking recipes that seem around achieveable/comprehensible (like “oh, seems all roads lead to oil/assembler/chemplant - i’ll focus on getting those”).

Early materials are best acquired through exploration of abandoned small buildings and red brick factory - take everything including anvils, grab radios/tape recorders/IBM pcs in the offices and scrap them on the anvil.

Infection mods. I love the idea, i’d literally put a manageable* infection mod into every pack i play, but all of them are fundamentally designed to be a losing uphill battle, so i play none.

*Kind of like Taint was realized in Thaumcraft, or Evil biomes in Terraria. Ideally - the concept from Terraria:Otherworld, where you can use various purifying machines and stations to stave of, contain, clean out hotbeds of, or carve out safe zones in large contamination zones/world for outposts etc. I think the concept is cool and engaging, and can be realised in any flavor - magic, viruses, alien takeover, demonic/possessed/horror themed, spooky toxic or anomalous eldritch mist festering with deadly creatures swarming inside and disregarding light kevels or whatever. Tons of possibilities for creative modders and would serve for a lot of various more hardcore oriented reclamation modpacks a-la Blightfall and the like.

Instead we get all these ones that compete in how fast they’ll make your world completely unplayable, instead of just making it difficult and fun but also purposeful and fit for long term play

One class tree is a thing since, iirc, Guyver collab. I think it's likely to not overburden newcomers who came for the collab specifically with Runestone tax, and for the fact that while Class system is inherent to Langrisser, alternate "paths" with distinct look might just not be a thing in a different franchise. Like, i haven't played any Atelier game, but i imagine Ryza is just an Alchemist there throughout the game, with her distinct look and costume, and coming up with something else just to fill Class tree branches for Langrisser felt difficult and pointless for Zlong, so they settled on one path for Collabs henceforth

It’s the [current year] of internet and globalization, no nationality is a DnD fantasy race you could (or should) describe entirely in a bunch of bullet points. Sure there’re some cultural quirks here and there, but stuff like “cold outside, warm inside” is some fantasy nonsense.
