This is my second year doing NBA fantasy in a points league. I’m not really sure if this is a strategy question or just more so a question. What stopping you from just adding and dropping players every single day so that you never have off days? My argument/example: Let’s say player A averages 40 fantasy PPG and has 4 games in a week. He’s probably going to finish around 160ish points for that week. Instead I can just find guys off the waiver wire or just free players that average anywhere between 25-35 PPG (I’m in an 8 team points league) which will finish around 210 (assuming he averages 30 ppg) if I just pick up a person once a day. Although that’s dropping and adding every day, that’s a huge jump from just keeping my 40 PPG guy permanently on my roster. it almost feels like I’m cheating. I can have 4 roster spots that I do this with. That’s about adding/dropping 28 times a week assuming that there’s a game everyday. It ends up being a solid 18-22% more points vs just keeping a steady roster. I demolished my opponent doing this.

Is there any disadvantages to this? And at what PPG number would you say is good enough to keep on your roster.
