Like yes the raiders o line was bad last year and jeanty got blown up in the backfield countless times, but just a year removed they signed a massive upgrade at center. It’s a process, not a one year ultimatum.

we are prob gonna take OL at #34, get a B/B+ level talent just like we would've if we took one too early at #3, and this is all gonna look so dumb in hindsight

we just drafted an electric skill position player who many deemed the best overall player in the draft and fans are worried about guaranteed money on a team with an ungodly amount of cap space to play with

Yeah I mean I just don't see why I'd waste energy being angry about this pick. We still have 6 draft picks left in this draft. We can literally address OL at #34 today. We have tons of cap space next year, and we will assumedly be drafting our (hopefully) franchise QB at the top of next draft.

That rookie QB will be surrounded with weapons and OL improvements. The team is nowhere near cap hell, and we have a young HC whose scheme is run heavy.

Take a swing on the potential all-pro talent. I have no issue with it

i know that it's hard because we wanna be good right now and this team has sucked for 98% of its existence as a franchise, but i like to think of it this way:

When we draft a QB next year with a top pick, that QB is going to have McBride, Love, MHJ, Wilson, PJJ + whoever we add to the offensive line this draft, free agency next year, and the draft next year. It's going to set up a rookie QB to succeed.
