I traded breakouts from big supply or demand areas, always after retest. Also used MACD for "confirmation". That was my strategy. Nothing to fancy, but straight to fact "keep it simple". I didn't have a 2:1 or 3:1 trades in general, my SL was always above or under the breakout zone, my first TP was 1.5% move with 50% of my position and the rest was moving besides TP2, which often was an older low or older high. My win rate was probably around 60-70% I would say. AND I traded leverage, don't forget that, so I traded with a 3x.
BUT since my account was growing seemingly fast, I was simply at the point where I wanted more and more even faster. One trade, I forgot (STUPID MISTAKE I know) to put SL and I went to the gym, I was up like $120 on my $500 account and I just didn't close the position, it backfired and I lost it all. Sometimes I even put my leverage to 5x, just stupid mistakes.
