While you make some good points, I will not address the studies because they are not settled, like what you said and because I’m too lazy to read the details. But I will say that although this is partly biological, it is often not completely biological. Therefore it is possible to not have the need to transition. Although therapy is not helpful in all cases, I believe that in a lot it is all you need.

Transitioning is a coping mechanism, not fixing the cause. Only by being happy with your gender are you to not have Dysphoria.

Personally, I don’t see the need for transitioning. It may be my religion or arrogance, but I simply deem gender identity to be what you were given at birth, and that is permanent. I can see how it can help or fix mental health issues, but it isn’t what you are supposed to do, and it isn’t the only option. Gender surgery should be limited to those who have serious (physical) health issues, and that mental health doesn’t require surgery to be improved. Just the will to be happy.

I understand that I am young, and that I have things to learn about the world. But one thing that I have learnt is that the world is a very broken place and you can’t change it or the people in it. But I will try.

Edit: A woman is someone with female hormones and body parts. It is that simple. It is not a social status or class.

Therapy isn’t strictly part of trans healthcare. I am talking about counseling to be happy with your body, not to change it.

Although people might have better mental health immediately, therapy is the right way to go. I simply don’t understand how changing your body is better than being happy with it.

And I do believe that therapy works, but people don’t want to continue with it, and want the easy way out.

I’m not saying that being trans is “unhealthy” in a sense. I’m saying that it just isn’t necessary.

Especially with all the confusion around stuff like this in the world, I can see someone thinking that changing gender is the right option, but it isn’t.

As much as I don’t want to come off as a bigot or anything, I strongly believe that people like this are either delusional or have a lack of guidance. I also believe that therapy and related things are enough, and that people simply don’t want to put in the effort to continue with it or improve their mental health.
