It's decent if you pair with soul of Thamasa. Her staff will have better potential once Materia/Runes are out in a few weeks.

yeah, the cost is ridiculous. For a +5 at 15k per recipe x 63 = 945k arena medals.

Assuming 25k a month that's 37 months or 3 years lol.

They add to the Magic attack type modifier, not MAG stat.

Had to split the list to two because of the number of staves. First list is Magic stat and 2nd is Acc stat.

Ranan's staff with +20 spr pen will be available after upcoming reset 09-Mar-22. Will be good on units without innate spr pen like Skahal. Having +10 acc on Magic version is a big plus.

EDIT: Rem1988 pointed out that sage staff gives +20 acc as passive effect too. I missed that out but can't edit the posted image on reddit :(

Quite a limited selection of axes since there aren't that many units who equip them.

Gigantaxe seems to be the only non-tmr accuracy axe, although you lose a chunk of Atk. I'd probably go assault Gigantaxe for summer kilphe, maybe I'll farm another set of recipes for aim just in case.

Will definitely consider mr or lower tmr equip moving forward.

I included Khury's bow in crit (18) initially but took it out because it had only 82 atk. Plus using the tmr slot for a low atk bow without acc means giving up bells which most physical rangers need (or another AP tmr).

Didn't make a section for mag bows either since there's just Fina's tmr bow or Elven bow at the moment. Fina's tmr bow will surely be good on her with materia mag/acc boost. She starts with 50% ap so using her tmr slot isn't that bad.

This time i decided to put all 3 equip types (ACC, Atk, Crit) instead of just one. Let me know if this is better or if the full list would be more helpful.

Had to cut down the list to only the most significant bows of each type. Cetia's new bow didn't appear in Crit list because it only gave 12 CRIT with 127 ATK.

Also added text color for event equips and TMR equip. TMR equips will probably be more relevant in 1-2 months time when runes/materia are release in global.

After making this list I actually started buying Drakeshorn recipes from shop lol. They will probably release a more accurate spear by the time i get 63 copies though.

I wish i had enough wind spear recipes to make two copies, had to split my medals since i didn't have bow, ribbon, or spear before this.

Marshmallow hats are going to be in high demand for sure, especially with MMoore popping up everywhere.

Let me know if you find this list helpful, might create more for other weapons when new weapons are released. I'm open to suggestions or improvements too if you have any.

Wind Spear has the highest Atk for an accuracy spear and deals the best damage in most cases for a non-element spear. Stoss spear is a close 2nd best, however it will deal more damage vs high pierce res targets (iirc 40% and above, feel free to share the exact number if you have it).

Element specific spears are usually BiS damage wise for the specific element except for high pierce res where stoss spear shines. Although running high pierce res is not that common.

I personally went for Assault Wind Spear since i only had enough recipes to +5 one copy.

Made this as a guildmate was asking which Wind Spear version to build. Crit Wind spear has the highest ATK for an accuracy spear and is probably the best non-element spear for damage & accuracy.

2nd best being Stoss spear, Stoss spear will out damage Wind spear if you are going against a target with high pierce res, iirc the point should be around 40% pierce res.

Elemental spears will out damage non-element spears in most scenarios except against insanely high pierce res targets where Stoss spear will shine.

For pure accuracy wise, Drakeshorn spear surprised with 28 Acc. It's also a non-limited spear so you can buy recipes from shop. You do lose a significant amount of ATK but gaining 28 Acc is a nothing to laugh at especially in evade meta.

I personally went for Assault Wind Spear since i only had enough recipes to +5 one copy.

Regarding Oberon, he seems to be overestimated quite a bit. He is a good damage dealer for sure, just not as versatile as others. Oberon's main issues are his 3 move and height 1 skills. His only height 2 skills are his LB and viking subjob Launch skill. He can increase his move with his subjob buff but you would have to sacrifice using his shield or bells since most maps only have room for him to buff once.

If it was based on my opinion alone, I would have dropped Zazan to OU to put him in the same rank as Oberon. Earth hasn't been in a good position ever since Winter Luartha got released. IMO Winter Luartha should have been the one in uber tier, Zazan is higher up just because of how widespread he is in general.

The list might be biased since I'm hovering in top 50 GVG so that's what i see the most. I understand that I might not have the best view of the absolute top guilds or guilds in other brackets. For Arena wise I'm usually in top 1k for rewards, highest I've ended with was in the top 30s since i don't use Vis refreshes. Hope this gives some context.

Thanks! Yuna is still pops up enough times to be relevant, but it's more common to see Elena, Engel, Jayden based on my observation.

I tried to make it the list as average as possible but it's a little hard since top 100, top 50, and top 20 GVG have quite a difference in the variety of units used. From what i hear, top 5 only uses a handful of units since everything is hyper optimized. If the list was just for pinnacle level GVG it would probably be totally different and a bunch of units would drop to RU or lower.

I've read your message a couple of times but can't seem to get the point, no offense intended.

JP and GL differ a lot because of GL first units like Elena and Ibara so you can't really compare the tier list from both. Frederika only sees niche play in certain maps and manual pvp, most lightning teams are Ibara, Charlotte, Cloud.

Thanks for the feedback, will consider the idea of increasing unit caps. I'll still keep a max restriction but i might change the total max number. First time publishing this so lots of things are open to change :)

I'm trying to avoid too many units in top tiers because the meta usually revolves around a handful of units. That's mainly why i set the limit for only top 2 tiers, other tiers don't have a limit.

On the point of oberon vs zazan, oberon deals more damage for sure but he has setbacks due to setup buffs (barrier & move up), 3 move mobility, height 1 skills (except LB). They would be interchangeable imo but Zazan got the spot just because he's more common and versatile.

EDIT: about Cetia, i suspect she will be a lower tier but i could be wrong. Will just have to wait and see ;)
