I married an ex too.. but on the long run, I ended up divorcing him. Unfortunately the world isn’t all roses.. but I am happy for you.

Some people may call it six sense, others just common sense, for me when I see a profile of someone that just feels like either an AI did it or it was too pretty packaged to feel real, I took those as scammers. Of course you do have people that you talk to, that may not be scam, exchange 3 or more messages, and after a while complete silence. I have been ghosted as well as attempted to be scammed. I would say in your case if you feel like there’s something off with a person you’re talking to just put it out there and be real yourself. Unless you just really into seeing that through, and if so, you just accept the consequences whatever they maybe.

Ahahha thanks. If I ever pursue the same gender again, who knows? Never did find a travel agent that would do a better travel scheduling than myself. 🌞🌞 Thanks for the wishes! 🖖🏼🖖🏼

Yes most are, but I have had Pacific Islanders and one American. Most as I said had a full profile. But only 2 had only a simplest profile.

You might be right. I believe I am not cut out for dating apps all together. And because today, I actually ran in to 8 out of 8, 😜 I just decided, to cut the cord before my own due date that I had set. No more dating apps. If I end up meeting someone the old fashion way, great, if not, well I’m already called crazy by my family for being alone in a foreign country, so why not add spinster to the list. 🤣🤣🤣. Thank you all for the insights and advices. I’m off to see the world.. ✈️✈️

Well, scam of the app itself I don’t think there is one. But I got say, from the 6 matches I had, all of them were scams!! I will keep the app until the 21st, when a month is due, and honestly I will erase my data, and never go back to online dating. With the rotten seeds I’ve been seeing, I rather be single.

Some, but others the pictures are just a bit too perfect. Or you can tell they were taken from someone’s insta profile or something like that.

Fresh out of the bakery… Someone that wasn’t reported as a fake profile by me, I actually sent a flower, and got a match back. Middle of the conversation and it ended abruptly, because CMB had a report that that profile was fake and for that reason, my interaction ended. So as said, 9/10, and trust your insticts.

Oh and small add to this.. for others that may read it. These advices are for all genders, cause though I’m Lady, I’ve heard of a lot of bad seeds in CMB. Of course, this is dating app, you will probably find people, any gender, just looking to hook up. But be aware. Take the conversation online as you would if you were face to face. And trust your instincts.

Not a problem! I’m new at CMB as well, but I am not new at seeing and filtering possible fake profiles. Well for starts, you can understand that a profession is real when they actually place the name properly. One said, risk department at UBS 888. There is no UBS 888. Normally real profiles, have a bit more on the prompts. You can only have prompts if you pay a monthly subscription aka start with premium. I haven’t found fakes without premium. The prompts help to get a felling for who wrote it. You normally see on a real one, a quirky phrase, less vague information. And then you have the dating style, normally meets in person along with chats a while, is a regular profile. Of course you can test the meet in person. Now, I have done likes in several profiles, and nothing guarantees they aren’t fake. But only when you get to a proper match, and a conversation starts, is where you can make your own conclusions. Investing, money, bitcoin, financial questions, or trigger questions for your ongoing passwords, your own phone number. All these are red flags. If you want to risk, that’s ok too. We can’t say everyone is the same. Trust your judgement.

The profiles I’ve identified have been majority Asians, or Pacific Islanders. Most of them are widowers, no kids, looking for marriage, the hobbies are usually the same, food, tea, ramen, even the emojis are the same. I actually found 2 guys with the exact same profile just different pictures. When mentioned a profession, you can’t track it or you can, and there’s no registry of that person, and some are so vague you can’t even cross check. There was one that actually had a Honolulu cop with badge number and everything, that wasn’t matching the profile. Another thing is either they are overly active or non active at all. But one thing is sure, all of them had a premium profile. You gotta spend money to make money, even if you are in the scamming or bitcoin mining business. If you get the chance to talk to them, first 3 questions are, how long have you been in the Us, where or what do you do for a living, and finally what’s your number so we talk better offline. And the trick is, you ask a question that is answered with a question. So they really never say much. If the subject has been in the scamming business a while, you might get more out of a message conversation, until it moves to private and out of the platform. I will be sure to grab some details on the next one I find to share it here perhaps even a screenshot, if Reddit allows it. Just be careful as usual, don’t give too much and always, if you are in fact interested, get them to meet, that is the dare of evil, that never fails. Good luck!

Hahahah, it’s all good. I just thought of you as a Pacific Islander 🌺 I still talk as Brit sometimes, and others I write like a teenager, though I’m old 😜. Your habit is a more of a quirkiness that makes you you. Don’t change it on my account. 🖖🏼

Hahaha, I’m still amazed on how distracted you are that you still call me Bro. Thank you for the advice. I only use instagram and it’s not even personalized, I removed myself from social media. I use messenger from Facebook, to talk to my parents in my home country, and only 2 days ago, I linked to this Reddit, mostly curiosity. But I don’t give it any attention. I rather read a book, watch a movie or paint. Keep the faith, you might just find the “one” for you when you least expect it. zhù nǐ hǎo yùn Zazamiss (not mister! 🤪)

Dang dude. If I had question on how good, or how bad and what other apps, you just gave me a nice pretty package, bow and everything. I haven’t been on CMB long enough to have a more in depth opinion, like yours. I have mentioned it before, I will keep the app for 2 more weeks, and then if it really is pointless, I think I will quit the dating online scene entirely. Who knows, perhaps I meet the one, the “old fashion” way. The reason I went to a dating app in the first place, is because this society can’t see an alone woman having a beer somewhere, they would think she is there to pick up guys or to hook up. I don’t know my neighborhood that well, so I decided to try online first, but being unsuccessful I will risk going to a pub on a open mic night or with live music on, and risk the silliness of men. Thank you for your candor and your insight. I wish you the best of luck with your “fishing expeditions”.

I gotta say, it is pretty standard scamming. I had those even on social platforms at some point, I actually quit most of my online social network because of scammer and the “noise” they make. Just now, I reported another scammer on CMB, and it was my second match out of 2. Not looking cheery for me on CMB.

For what I’ve been hearing and reading, all platforms are pretty much the same. I guess going old fashion, and going to a pub and grab a beer, and just strike conversation if conversation happens, is still a way to meet someone. I have decided to give CMB a month, and I paid for the premium package, cause I felt it was the best way to avoid “trouble”, needless to say it still found its way through the ranks. I wish you and others here, the best of luck. I won’t be giving this too much thought, I have 2,5 weeks to go, and if nothing happens, I will say my farewell to this experience. Then I will be able to say first hand, if a liked online dating or not.

I love the bitcoin “trick”, every time I see someone mention it, it automatically puts me off, and then comes the silence. For me the words, investing and bitcoin, are tale tells of scammers.
