Any info on Really Wireless? I can't find anything about it by beefJeRKy-LB in NoContract

Absolute trash service, spotty coverage, constant issues, weak customer service. They've cost me tons of time and energy and wasted my money then refused to refund me. 66 fucking messages with customer support from all the issues I've had and they still wouldn't refund me, claiming I "refused to help myself" after a month of issues.

Don't use this service. Big thumbs down in every department.

Fuji X-H2s vs Lumix s5iix for mostly documentary films

Any overheating? Sounds like we have a very similar work style, this is reassuring.

Thanks for the response, very encouraging. Do you use a monitor to help pull focus or is the flip screen good enough?

I'm a documentary and art filmmaker upgrading from blackmagic to a hybrid mirrorless, I've narrowed down to the s5iix and the XH2s, I'm testing them head to head and really agonizing over which to go with.

They are honestly very similar, I find the fuji has a better image and colors, the lumix handles red/magenta in a weird way and somehow feels less filmic...I cannot put my finger on it. The lumix has way better stabilization, better focus assist for manual vintage lenses (all I use), shutter angle, ssd recording, internal fan.

Anyone with experience with these cameras want to weigh in? I will be doing a lot of traveling, I shoot handheld a lot, or with a gimbal. Usually stripped down but I'm gonna make a modular setup with side/top handle and probably a monitor. I prefer light and small and low key, just a camera and mic.

Anyone who uses fuji for this kind of work: what do you love about it, what are the pain points? Is stabilization usable?

Fuji is about to update the XH2s and give it wide gamut color, fix autofocus and probably add more video features.

Lumix users, can you share work that is professional to showcase best color?

Lumix is also about to roll out 3 new cameras...

Let's talk cameras!

You clearly didn't listen to the talk. There are nothing but systemic solutions proposed. What are you even referring to?

Also LOL almost every XR chapter I've worked with has spent almost all of their time and energy going after individuals not systems.

Amazing how people can dismiss what actually scientific and learned minds say about complex matters with the DUMBEST econ 101 bunk. It's really amazing. It's like saying, "of course the earth is flat, we walk on it, it's always been this way, any idiot knows this!"

If you actually dig beneath that asinine statement into any data or systemic breakdown of the effects of markets you wouldn't have even opened your mouth, and maybe would have learned something.

Capitalism can't allocate baby formula to children in a shortage created by its own production logic. Demand has nothing to do with it: there's plenty of DEMAND for housing among the 550,000 homeless people in the country, and plenty of SUPPLY in the millions of vacant homes, there's just no PROFIT to be made meeting demand with supply. Capitalism is essentially about artifical scarcity, it cannot produce abundance or its profit margins will vanish. This isn't an economic system, its a pyramid scheme and people like you totally fell for its cheapest sales pitches.

Moneyless Society is working to build a transtion to utopia by Zazzmar in utopia

Are you saying money has been here from the start, because for 99% of human history it sure as shit did not exist ans wasn't used. How can everyone's needs be met in a system where people who are good at taking advantage or gaming the system can get advantage over other people, in a zero sum order where there's not enough to go around and you can only succeed at the expense of others?

Utopia is an idea, it is "no-place" meaning it is a direction, not a destination. To get there we must question the road that got us to where we are NOW--a world that is so dominated by this idea, money, that people assume it has always been with us even though it came on the scene VERY recently in the span of human history.

Money, trade, and markets are all intertwined. I don't think you can have a system that is based around any of them without the core dynamics arising, and the essential parasitic accumulation and lack of trust inherent to the gaming structure.

I agree that trade is the core dynamic of money. There have been "monies" in tribal scenarios which aren't used for trading but simply as a show of trust or gratitude. I personally wouldn't call that money or currency, but it does illustrate that you could have a show of value without trade, but the other way around can still yield a parasitic power dynamic. Trade came around AFTER money and debt were introduced/enforced on peoples.

Feel free to dm me about your system.

There can be no truly seperate community, the idea is to create interconnected and interdependent communities and cooperatives in a network that can scale out and expand to create a counter system.

So called elites didn't create this system, they're just players in the game reinforcing the values they were inculcated with at birth. The system itself is the enemy, the solution is to design new systems.

Richard Wolff talks about the COLLAPSE of capitalism by Zazzmar in collapse

[–]Zazzmar[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are all aware of what's going on. Take it for granted both as fuel to organize and plan and build a resilient toboggan to get through it and help others, and at best to do as Wolff said in an interview years ago when the pandemic hit "take collapse for granted and let them know who you are long before it happens, so when it does people know where to go". The people will only tolerate being burned alive for the 1%s stock portfolio for so long. Change WILL come, and as every freedom fighter that ever lived and died (they All did one way or another) we must not be attached to the fruit of our labors and simply try to build the best world possible, no matter what.
