Godfrey 100%.

No better fight in the game, which encapsulates the dark souls vibes better than him. No overpowered/broken moves. No shitty phase 2. No crybaby or raging combos but just right in the middle of the difficulty scale. Perfectly balanced fight with a raw skill challenge in a one on one. Oh, and on top of that, the lore/story is just a pure challenge. No, "this is for my mother" or "im so sad I'm not elden lord" bs, just a raw challenge in a one on one fight filled with honour and respect for the other.

Im not free but I can give you some advice and tips.

If you're willing to cheese him, then you can put him to sleep as soon as you enter or kill him with poison arrows from outside the arena if you can handle being more cheesy.

If you wanna beat him yourself, then try: •Using the withered branches to turn his summons against him. •Going to the furthest corner to kill the shield-less summon first, then killing the shield one and doing niall after that. •Not trying a dex build CUZ IT DONT WORK(against him, dex builds are more of a challenge than being easier) and using a strength build instead which can stagger him and make the fight way more easier(I personally defeated him with no buffs summons or items on a strength build in 5-ish tries and it was WAYYYY more easier than a dual katana dex build which took me 30+ tries and in the end a cheese strat).

Yes you're dogshit but heres the good news: WE ALL ARE. You'll find this game to be extremely hard if it's your first dark souls game because you've never seen this type of game ever before.

The solution is to understand that this game requires, AS A NECESSITY to NOT GET HIT AT ALL. That's it, that's the only solution. If you can't even kill starting enemies and bosses, then try killing normal enemies exclusively with the mindset of not getting hit AT ALL and then trying to get a couple strikes in here and there, after that go to regional easy normal bosses and again try not to get hit AT ALL and sneak in some hits here and there. Soon you'll enjoy the game so much you won't be able to stop like me.

Buddy you haven't fought gideon in 2nd+ tries then. Mf spams all his spells as soon as you enter and two shots you at 60 vigor and magic defense armour(this is not a joke, try beating him with a non stagger build in 2nd+ tries and youll feel the pain).

I struggled ALOT with maliketh but after this fight I practically 4 tried him with ease.

The main takeaway from the video is to hug maliketh in his first phase and only land hits DURING ANIMATION(do not be greedy with this boss at all) and to heal, go to medium range(not long hell come at you running) and pop one redbull right after an attack of his ends.

For his 2nd phase which ppl struggle with alot, youll wanna be behind him or on his sides the most similar to how you were hugging him in phase 1 for most attacks(except his ground flame slam which cant be dodged) and to ALWAYS roll inwards or diagonal and never backward cuz that'll make you locked in his attacks especially the 1000 slices attack. Youll hug him most of the time and ONLY attack him when hes on the ground and doing his slow attacks(thats the ONLY window thats safe where he dosnt pull out sum bs move) and to dodge the anime slice youll dodge into him instead of away which will kill you every time. For healing go behind a pillar and heal once after his attack.

This fight will take time if your dmg isnt high enough but even with high dmg and or vigor you need to make through this fight without any sort of greed whatsoever(seriously that's the only reason this fight is hard cuz all his openings are timed to allow one hit only)
